I would pay off my bills, parents, brothers ect. Stop working where I do and volunteer my time to more important places, elderly, etc. stay home and take care of my children instead of paying someone else to raise them.

If I won, I'd pay off all my bills, my home, etc., give to charity, and pretty much keep living as I have lived before. I'd probably still shop sales, drive a low cost automobile, and pretty much keep a low profile. I wouldn't show off like some previous winners have. if someone has 20 cents in their pocket and you have 20 dollars in yours. Your rich compared to the other person. Whenever someone has more of something especially money someone is going to want some of it albeit the Realtor, the grocery store, the doctor or whomever. If you don't have a way of replacing every dollar you spend. Sooner or later you'd go broke. I just want to buy a nice, modest house, a decent car and some other stuff I've been wanting, invest save my money...help some family members out and donate to some charities I like and my church.I will say this...unless you win an insane amount of money...no one is going to be hounding you. I think 2-10 million, your pretty safe if you are careful before and after you claim your prize.MP

I first would not give for any reason interviews to any one because my financial freedom is my business and no one elses. Depending on how large the amount is I would take a chunk of it to las vegas and high roll it. Just because I can and have always dreamed of playing large in vegas with the jackpot that I won. Like the great one Rick Flair said it best, Styling and profiling .

If I won the lottery, the first thing I would do is give my 10% to my church. I would then pay all of my bills. Both of my parents would definately get a share of my winnings. My kids would go to college. What is left over would be put into an account to draw interest.

Opera already did that show and you weren't in it LOL Neither was I many of the people who were had problems dealing with the public because they were constantly being hounded for money from every kind of person. Some were able to deal with there new found fame better than others. Still it takes lots of planing to live out the rest of your life after hitting the jackpot. Especially if you go public. Imagine having to spend every waking hour constantly under a microscope.

Good question. But, weren't you the one wanting to be totally anonymous when you won? As for your question...No, I don't think I would want to tell the whole world my story because I don't want the blood hounds after me for money nor do I want to exploit myself like that; However, it would be good to come back to a website like this one and share my winning experience with those who want to know.I am a writer and the only thing the winning would really do for me is help me find the best writing... Ok. This one probably needs some explaining, so here it is. Let's say you won the lottery. Would you do something extraordinary, such as selling your story to reader's digest or oprah, or even opted for your own reality show (that's what i'd do. i'd want people to see the real me.)?
