Phantomrainbow,I believe the Lord is in control of everything in my life. If he would bless me with a win, I would most certainly return his blessings to His work.....to various people in need, charities, etc. My husband and I just talked about that a couple weeks ago when the MegaMillions pot was so large...........where we would distribute our winnings...................and we came up with 20 percent....10 to our church, of course, and 10 to other various things that we cared about like peop... i was planning on giving to the make a wish foundation,and the ones on tv(not necessarily those) for the diabetes,cancer,etc. i wouldnt give jsut to keep from paying taxes,or keep the money. i would just do it because i could,it would make me happy to think that i helped to do some good for someone who needed it,without them knowing i did it. i know that most people donate for taxes and stuff.a question for you four4me,say you were walking down the street (you have about a thousand or so in your... Donate before or at tax time for the tax benefit. Not after the taxes are done unless you like giving money away. Keep your receipts. It is almost a given to donate to a charity of your choosing if you win big money or are already financially stable the tax benefits for doing so help to recover some of the amount you have to pay uncle sam. how many people would give 10% or even a half a percent to charity? doesnt jsut have to be charities,like say you see a home less person,someone who looks like they need money or a car,etc. would you be willing to give or buy someone something without them knowing,not getting any thanks,just god (or whomever you beleive in or not) knowing. could or would you be willing to be so selfless and just get the satisfaction of knowing you did it? i think i could. just brighten someones day,say send them...
