Exactly, Sal..............I have different methods.............even if you could play all states for the midday and evening separately would help.Maybe Todd will consider it dventually.................maybe just for the platinum or gold members. I think it is certainly something he maybe should think about.....but I am not a programmer so I don't know how much work would be involved. He already puts in a TREMENDOUS amount of work on this site.

Going back to the original poll, I think the predictions is the coolest thing ever. If I were to improve it in any direction it would be:Stats by game type predicted. The stats for a pick 3 game should be better than for a 5/39 or 6/49 game.Stats for the amount of numbers that actually matched the associated draw. To determine, say, an overall average accuracy.

Random numbers probably do as well as hand-picked ones over the long haul, but after testing both approaches, I came out ahead on the hand-picked ones.And I find it slightly foolish to buy a quick pick from a game whose whole effort is to beat the player.

Colin FWhat I have done in the above post is what I would consider random. As stated above it is the mixing of digits in a column and moving pairs back and forth from one column to another.If I am incorrect on that point I stand corrected.

JPI still don't see the connection.Let me spell it out to you. If you are doing something systematic it is not random. It is the opposite of random. Randomness as in emulating the results of physical balls is not easily achieved and certainly not by your standard text book bit of code. The numbers you are suggesting would not be random.I'm not at this stage advocating that a Pick 3 Player use Random Selections. Couple of good points in here.If you have 1 - 2 favorite digits for your pick, then that is the time to use a RNG and I don't mean your computer RNG.Good source is random .com which is based on atmospheric noise, or if you have access to Cesium 21, it has the most random half-life of any radioative materials or anthing that I've heard of. Handle with care though...lol

i know somebody that buys a quick pick 3 digit everday one for the midday and one for evening. been playing them for years she won, nada, zip, zilch, nuthing. If she had picked any other number like a birth date or something of that nature she would have won about ten times. When i see her and ask did she win on here quick pic she says no but my daughters birtday hit my son, husband etc etc. When i ask why don't you play some of the family numbers she say i perfer quick picks. my reply prefer th... Choosing random selections is not rocket science. Put together 10 to 20 selections in a defined systematic order and it is possible to get hits.

Hopefully this poll doesn't foster the idea that people should use either the forum or the predictions board. They are designed as complementary tools that are best used together. A good player learns the strengths and abilities of both tools and combines them to his/her advantage.

I didn't vote, although I tend to agree with the Profit option.But Todd has filter options for specific games and players which gives a truer image of results.A lucky hit in a jackpot game doesn't necessarily make you a good predictor.

None of those.Look at the Prize Ratio in particular noting how much has been spent for a given Lotto Game Type then compare it with what is achieved by Random Selections. In the thread Interpreting Prediction Statistics I have given the range for spending $600 and $5000 using Random Selections for Pick3.In due course I will post examples for Pick 4.If the results fall within the ambit achieved by random selections then you can't claim to have bettered them.Colin
