that's the nice thing about it. the jackpot has the potential to get big because there's almost always a rollover, but when it gets hit, the winner has a nice sum of money. it may not be enough to set them for life, but seeing as how those three states are not exactly wealthy, it really helps the winner out.

i don't mean to be a part of an online lynching (sorry. it was the only word i could come up with to describe it), but yes. how can you say yes to tri-state megabucks over hot lotto? TSM gets hit just about every week. it takes months, even years for hot lotto to be hit, and the jackpots get bigger.

i think they should not join hot lotto. they should keep the tri-state megabucks game because that way, there's a better chance of one of those states seling a jackpot winning ticket. it's the same reason why states still have their own in-state jackpot games.

With Maine FINALLY re-joining MUSL, all three states with Tri-State Megabucks also sell Powerball. Since New Hampshire already has Hot Lotto (another MUSL game; Tri-State Megabucks is not) one possibility down the road is ME and VT joining Hot Lotto, with Tri-State Megabucks retired after two decades.
