You can't win a lottery if you don't buy a ticket. You didn't say you had bought a ticket, so, looks like someone is trying to take advantage of your financial situation. Burn the email and move on.

Hey Shirleye,Yeah i think this is true. Illegal outside your country, this is definitely the case in the UK as the online lottery syndicate I'm with can only let people play from anywhere in the world because the owners purchase all their tickets under their own names and distribute the winnings. This is apparently alright. Not sure about mail order but come to think of it, how many mail order lotteries have you seen about?tomxx

To AllNo matter what the enticement NEVER, NEVER give out financial details, passwords etc by way of confirmation or to receive some financial reward. Scam for sure. I've received such e-mails before. Lottery commisions don't ask money by e-mails.

it sounds like a scam to me,lottery's usually don't ask for money. i would check with a reputable/known lottery and ask or ask todd,if he is on,you can pm him. i heard that most lottery's that ask for money are a scam.i would check before i send them anything.i remember reading somewhere,can't remember where,that they dont ask for money.

Yesterday I received notice via email that I was one of two winners in the LUCKY STRIKE LOTTERY UK. While I truly hope this is true, as I'm losing my home in forclosure, I really don't want to be scammed. Does anyone have any info about this lottery located in Great Britain,( United Kingdom ). Or does someone know of a ;ottery commission that I can contact to find out if they are legitimate.
