Here's the way you figure it. You start at the high number which is 45 and count back six numbers because it is a 6 ball drawing. You multiply. 45x44x43x42x41x40. You get the figure, 5864443200. Now since you are trying to match the 6 balls, you start from the other end. 1x2x3x4x5x6. You get 720. Divide 720 into 5864443200 and you arrive at the 8145060 that Datenda posted.

Use Excel's Combin formula eg=COMBIN(25,6) = 177100=COMBIN(30,6) = 593775=COMBIN(40,6) = 3838380=COMBIN(45,6) = 8145060
