Well I have seen some poeple with a notepad and pencil trying to figure out the machines.I like to play the slots; however it is a random chance that you are taking and the casino's wouldn't be in operation if all the machines paid like we wanted.I know it is a state law that a machine must pay out a certain percentage of winnings. LOL.........I wish I had that problem..........I would take a later flight anytime for a big win. I don't think I will have to worry...........$300-$500 would do me just fine. Heck I'll take 75 bucks.............I am not a big bettor on the slots.....I will bring 20 bucks in quarters..........Blackjack is and always will be my game.I wonder if they have video poker at that airport now? I haven't been there in about 6 years so maybe...................

I've seen progressives at McCarron (I've been to LV twice, last in Feb. 2001) - one problem* would be if you hit a big one it might take more time than you have (between flights) for someone to verify the validity of the win (I've nver had the pleasure, but among other things they'll almost certainly have to call in a rep from the slot manufacturer to make sure the computer programs behind the RNG selector haven't been compromised).Also, I think the bigger progressives are mostly annuity, but I... I just read an article to not play the machines on the outside.......everyone plays them...........like you said on the way out to the plane......one last pull.I don't think they have progressive machines at the airport.My brother-in-law plays the slots all the time and wins good.......he said to watch for someone to get a 25 or 50 hit and they walk away thinking it won't hit again......and go play that machine because it will hit again (they are called machines).Think that is the way I am going... If it's a progressive, make sure it's CASH or there is a CASH OPTION.

Rojo, I'd be thinking the exact opposite - the fact that whomever makes the money off the machines (the airport?) knows that the outside machines in a row get the quick pull on the way to the plane or the curb players, probably giving them incentive to put the tighter (lower percentage) machines there.

Play the first are last machine on a row, normally people will play these machine in passing and you have a better chance on cashing in on so money.Rojo

Okay, I believe this a new question to ask.I will be laying over in Las Vegas for a couple hours next Monday (Sept 27) and I don't have enough time to go to the casinos but I have always in the past, played the slots at the airport.
