you know this might be a good idea for Marylanders you could go the the place where you get your lottery tickets and get a couple hundred playslips and instead of marking each one by hand run them through the printer. Bonus match 5 you get 3 plays for two bucks people who wheel their numbers for more than 20 play slips could save some time doing this.

Point is, some lotteries apparently have it in the rules they don't accept computer marked play slips and since they couldn't possibly know after the fact, don't mention it when collecting your jackpot, or that your twelve year old bought the tickets along with your cigarettes and beer.

Beats me Dr. I know it has been tried is all and will probably be tried again. More than likely it will hit the news papers and such. A lot of things lottery related happened at the same time the Internet was growing so some stuff might not be archived yet. Maybe some other posters might have the answers to your last question.

The greed for money and the people who have so much of it that they will do almost anything to get more of it even buy out a lottery.

my name not be dude ----- dude it was a long time ago you couldn't possible have had any knowledge of this unless you are some kind of lottery historian. The big game started back in 96 so you were like 12/13 yrs old. Not long after the big game started a jackpot grew. Another big time money group tried the same thing. They went to the headquarters and tried to or actually bought the whole range of combinations. They lost money because they had to split the pot with other people.Twinkle in moms... [ More ]

Dr If memory serves me they went directly to the lottery headquarters and made some sort of deal with them. I vaguely remember they ended up splitting the jackpot with 2 other people thereby loosing more than they invested.Hears the other problem with your idea even if you could afford to buy out all the numbers theirs no way of knowing if somebody else bought the same numbers as you or that the lottery quick pick didn't kick out more than one winning ticket.

Nobody cares if you go to the store with a printed betslip. You couldn't possibly buy out all combinations on a single machine - there wouldn't be enough time to buy out one-tenth of the combinations if you ran the machine all day and all night for 4 days. If you want to print a betslip, go ahead, it's no big deal.

a few years back in VA, the jackpot was bigger than the odds to win that jackpot. a company from australia decided to play every set of numbers possible. they used pre-printed slips to save time. i am unsure if they were successful at playing every possible set of numbers, or even hitting the jackpot, and even if they did, there was still that chance that they would have to share it, and then their profits would turn into a loss. anyway, lotteries have specific instructions for the terminal oper... [ More ]

It's my experience that betslip printing software (in real-world use) doesn't work reliably, because the betslips don't get fed through the printer the same way every time. Simetimes it can be something like the printer was on for a while, and because it's hot the paper feeds differently.

There is a free program that you can use to print your lottery payslips from simple notepad files. It requires about 12 or so measurements per game and a bit of cut and paste etc to get the thing running. I tried it myself and it took about one hour to get a game with pick 5 and one extra ball (like a US Powerball game). The program does not handle pick 3, pick4 ie 000-999 and 0000-9999 games but all others it can cope with including irregular spaced boards or printers aborations. The only restri... [ More ]
