I've stayed and played at the Golden Nugget downtown, but I know of at least three other Nugget casinos in the Las Vegas area. Which one(s) are you guys talking about?aye

A lot of the locals hang out at the Nugget. The service is good and the second biggest win I ever had was at the Nugget. Nice folks. Play is good at the Nugget. For spectacular I would try to stay at one of the newer Casinos like the ...Bellagio or the Venetian. OH.....yes ! Eat and sleep at one of these...... and gamble at the Nugget.

jon,The El Cortez Hotel and Casino in Downtown Vegas is by far my favorite place to gamble when I'm out there. It's extremely popular with the locals because the slots are looser and the minimums are lower than you'll find out on the strip or at any of the more upscale places. It's nothing fancy; it's just an old casino that happens to be a very good place to gamble. Hey, they have to treat the locals right to keep them coming back since they live out there.
