it would, but it would be really hard to do because a rolling jackpot for life could generate loads of ticket sales, but the thing is that with a win for life game in which there is a rolling jackpot, no amount of ticket sales could be enough to pay out even the top prize, and there is the possibility of an 18 year-old winning the top prize, and bankrupting the lottery.

How about a rolling lifetime jackpot. For example, the jackpot could start at $1,000/week for life, and rollover. I'm sure $25,000/week for life would get the tickets going.

i'd take the payments for life, because there is a good chance the annuity will be better off than the cash, depending on how long the winner lives.

Jimmy yea you can sell your ideas to anybody that's interested in them there are some proper things you need to do to protect yourself. There is a story on lottery post about a man who did make his own unique lottery game for scratch off and sold the idea. I don't know where that post is, maybe someone else does. Any way ideas are worth money especially new ideas. You have to protect the idea so they don't steal it from you. Try the library and ask for some books on the proper procedure for subm... [ More ]

i got an idea. what if instead of numbers, the lottery used letters? players would think of a word that had 8 letters. the lottery would draw letters from 8 drums. the players would have to match the whole word to win the jackpot. lower tier prizes would be given for matching 4-7 letters. the jackpot would start at $5 million since it would be an 8/206 matrix, and roll each time nobody plays a word that those letters spell out.
