I think it's pretty simple actually. Instead of looking at the whole picture, and then giving up almost instantly, why don't you study it for a second. Do you know what SUMs are? Hell, SUM, in math, means addition, or adding them up. A SUM, in Pick 3, is the 3 digits added up. There's also Pair SUMs. Yes, that means adding 2 digits up. Pair SUM.
