When is the right time to hang your lottery boots?
Most state and provincial lotteries still offer 50 cent straight and box pick 3 and pick 4 wagers so those that playing games like that for years probably still play them. It's different with the major jackpot games that made several game changes through the years. Considering players wager $2 to beat 1 : 14,494 odds just to win $100 in PB or 1 : 38,792 MM odds to win the same $500 they can win playing against 1 : 1000 odds for a $1 wager. IMO, the big difference between then and now is the

That is true. But people who claim they win big money usually are people who spend a lot of money to get it. Nobody wins every day. I venture to say that people who cash in big on Pick 3/4 spend more than just a couple dollars. I've been to the store watching people spend easily over $100 on combos, scratch offs etc.. I don't play those. I only play 5/39 and not every day. Maybe 6x a month when I feel it's right. I just hit within this week 4/5 twice and collected $1300. It's not a lot but odds

Other Systems besides Pick 3,4 etc.
Excellent point on splitting a big jackpot. To the OP, in Pick 3 and 4 games, you get full payout for each dollar spent, regardless of how many people hit the winning number. For example, you develop/follow a winning system for Pick 3 and play a $1 bet ten times for your number which comes up. You win ten times the single dollar payout. Spend the same $10 on PB and you could win multiple times on the smaller prizes, but the top prize jackpot gets split between all of the players who played all t

Lawyer Reccomends NOT To Sign Ticket??
It's common for state lotteries to recommend players immediately sign the back of their ticket if they win big. Other experts have said the same thing. Yet I'm aware of a Florida lawyer that recommends players not sign the back of their ticket if they win a jackpot. He says they should make and keep a copy of it, and put the original/official ticket in a safe deposit box. The lawyer says there is a very good reason why the winner shouldn't sign it. What do you suppose that reason is? G5

I have no doubt, you're going to God-Willing that is, win the big one, 1 day sooner than later, and the prize of $50k, #Go4it ... I know Cash 5 hard, yep, sure is, but odds per state are yep BETTER than IMHO Mega and Powerball any day, and P4 Stack up, just as much for me(for a while) with playing same digits multiple x, so i going to keep FOCUS on that I do buy, a few cash 5 at times, and just won AGAIN multiple times on P3 last night, so GREAT JOB on your recent win $500Quick! Why do you want to win the lottery?
I play cause I like imaging that I will one day wake up and win a big prize! Big for me is $100k or more. I would really love to be debt free, purchase a condo (in cash) a new car. Travel once a month and work part time. I could live comfortably on $5k a month. I also love to shop, so that would obviously be easier with a substantial amount of funds.

I haven't lost a dollar in the lottery so far.
Welcome to the lottery world! I like to buy scratchers that have a lot of winners left and that have second chance cash drawings. That way if my ticket doesn't win I might make it on the second chance. I also buy 10 of the same ticket in one shot and I always win something. A few times it was $100. Haven't won big yet but hope.to someday. Other tips I have are don't spend more than you can afford to lose and have fun.

$2B Powerball winner spotted in $250,000 vintage Porsche 911
The reasons why many big lottery winners go broke after the win (if they don't take the annuity option) is because they receive the money in a very short window of time, they are financially illiterate and they overspend. Most millionaires earned their fortunes over a long period of many years. Just like pro athletes that have a very short earnings window, so do lottery winners. Couple that with being illiterate financially and the tendency to overspend they go through their money like a hot
