Lotto America to switch to computerized drawings
When I was in high school and lived in northern Virginia, the D.C. Lottery would broadcast their live drawings at 7:58 P.M. If I was at home, I watched the drawing. If I was not, then I'd check the numbers the next morning in the newspaper. I did not realize at the time I could check the results online. I suspect D.C. changed to computerized drawings in the summer of 2004 because they started using animations to show their numbers. I did not like the new format and stopped watching the drawings.

OMG, when you put your tickets into a 50-50, don't you bend them a little or crease the corners? I know I do, because they are more likely to be picked with a more grippy surface. It's human nature to make mistakes. A ball tumbler machine doesn't think and make decisions about which item to pick. It opens a slot and whichever ball randomly falls in, that's the one it takes. Technical difficulty with New Jersey Lottery Pick 4 drawing results in two sets of winning numbers
Lucky for New Jersey and the few states that still have mechanical ball drawings for Pick 3/4 and other draw games. It sucks that 'due to the pandemic' we went to computerized draws (KY) and MD not too long ago joined this screw the players mentality. Glad NJ did the right thing and had another draw. I know it is quite a process weighing each ball and they have to be within so many nanograms of each other. Remember KY lottery had my question on this years ago and they showed how it was d

Lotto America to switch to computerized drawings
A few of the many ways to rig computer lotto drawings: 1. Rig the compiler. No amount of source code inspection detects this rig because no evidence of the rig ever shows up in the source code. The RNG is rigged to appear random, and passes statistical tests, but is actually fully determined on certain dates. Coder remains clueless. 2. Rig the hardware. As revealed in 2013 by Edward Snowden, the NSA loves this technique to hack encryption keys since no amount of source code or binary cod
