Significant changes regarding Scratch off tickets needed within the Florida Lottery.

All conspiracy theories aside, they shouldn't have a financial incentive for ensuring there are unclaimed jackpots/big prizes. Even if every prize on a game is claimed, they are still generating at least 30-40% profit. It can't just be coincidence that these jackpot books are picked up when only a very small percentage of tickets are likely returned for a partial credit, how do games like $5 Power 8s and $5 Cash Fall end with 2 jackpots remaining? I have received some really hilarious private messages. I wish the scratch-off posting forum was this much fun. Since there is no way Adam can produce proof of the 4 jackpots Dracos mentioned he hit I will make this a little easier. Forget the $2M Holiday Gifts and $100k GRD jackpots...maybe they did, maybe they didn't happen. @EMTAdam - I have a huge problem with her statement. If jackpots are still showing on the website as remaining prizes and they are still selling the tickets till the end date, then my opinion is that the game should still actually have those jackpots and if they already scanned the returned books and the system tells them a jackpot ticket was destroyed the lottery should have a legal and moral obligation to update the website accordingly and not mislead the public. Honestly, I think it is pretty balanced. Most of Florida's population lives in South FL, and the highest percentage of ticket sales is in that area. More tickets being sold results in a higher number of books shuffling through that area. More books shuffling through should result in more jackpots being hit. We can only hope that Jackpots are not destroyed or removed from shelves and put back in warehouse status. However, at one location, I overheard the clerk and Lottery official, they were discussing which game to remove to make room and mentioned let's take the one that has the fewest on the roll So there may not be any co-ordination as to leaving a Jackpot on the rack. Hey Dracos, good to see you doing well. Hello to you as well Skeptic. Just wanted to add that I thought EMT Adam hit 2 more jackpots along with that $2 million........all within a year or so? It was something insane. I want to say it was $250k on the $5 Kings Ransom ticket, and I could have sworn he hit another big one, for a total of 3 jackpots in something ridiculous like less than 1 year.

On $20, $25, and $30 tickets I can see this happening. It is possible, yes. Still, on $10, $5 tickets and lower I see the operational practices as being the more likely culprit. $5 Power 8s, 2/8 jackpots remaining. $5 Cash Fall, 2/8 jackpots remaining Both games sold out, with few books remaining across the state The $5 Holiday game also has 2/8 jackpots remaining. Two $500,000 prizes, if these aren't found that will certainly leave a foul taste.

Also, the MM and PB jackpots are both currently in the $300M range which has to be cannibalizing sales since the FL Lotto jackpot is in the low single digits.

Gratz on the $1k on Wheel of Fortune. Was it a single number match? I'd ask the FL Lottery for the book numbers of the previous winners so you can target more specific ranges. The game is probably 90%+ sold out with 2/12 jackpots remaining. Maybe it is worth someone getting another ILR on this game. Many people miss prizes all the time, even the big ones.
