Win a jackpot...continue to work??
Her is a copy of something I found sometime ago about winning the lottery. Dont know where I found it or who wrote it. Some of it is quite funny, Don't Win The Lottery! Don't win the lottery! The lottery is not a path to happiness. In fact the lottery presents one of the greatest challenges to happiness. The lottery path leads to a loss of friends, a loss of loved ones, unhappiness, misery, paranoia, loneliness, and distrust. FriendsKiss your friends good-bye forever. All of them. Those whose n

Can you SMELL that PA STENCH?
Did you all notice that although the new 5/43 game in PA starts at $125,000, it does NOT INCREASE by the same amount (like the 5/39 game did) when the jackpot is not won! Nope, it just increases by $100,000. And here I consider that FRAUD! 100% legal fraud! The 5/39 game increased by $100,000 each night. And the new rules clearly state new jackpots start at $125k. Well, why won't they keep their WORD and be HONEST and double the unwon jackpot by the same $125k amount? I'll tell you why

You buy a 2line ticket to pool with 1 person but they don't pay the $1
Go back and read what you wrote the first time around. You asked us to play judge and told us what happened, so that's what I'm basing my opinion on. If there's a legal dispute the case will be judged on the facts as presented, and what you think won't matter. Think about any other contract you've agreed to, whether it's signing a lease, buying a car, or whatever. Do you think that either party can change the terms just because they thought the other party wouldn't enforce their rights under the

Winning Can Mean Losing? Lotterynightmare
For a lot of people, winning the lottery is the American dream. But for many lottery winners, the reality is more like a nightmare. Winning the lottery isn't always what it's cracked up to be, says Evelyn Adams, who won the New Jersey lottery not just once but twice (1985, 1986) to the tune of $5.4 million. Today the money is all gone and Adams lives in a trailer. I won the American dream but I lost it, too. It was a very hard fall. It's called rock bottom, says Adams. Everybody wanted my mone

Setting a trust for anonymity: how does it work?
KY, yes I did read that story. I also read a lot - believe me, A LOT - similar cautionary stories pointing to the same bottom line... JW is not the only one but just one of the many... It's not about the mistakes JW made, it is about the pitfalls inherent to not claiming your jackpot with absolute anonymity. I realize that by claiming such things here I have been upsetting that artificial sense of security deriving from a not too realistic view that many here want to believe, which is along the

Trial on death of friend of Jack Whittakers daughter
Witness says Whittaker's granddaughter did drugs in his office Two former employees of Jack Whittaker's construction company told a jury Thursday that his granddaughter frequently came into his St. Albans office to collect her large daily allowance, and that she was often intoxicated or high from doing drugs. Whittaker has been accused of negligence in the death of 18-year-old Jesse Tribble, who was found dead of a drug overdose in Whittaker's Scott Depot home. Tribble's father,

Why it is important to remain anonymous
This is undoubtedly one of the most important posts that you will ever see at Lottery Post, and as someone who has posted on here for years, I honestly suggest that you read this very carefully! For months, I thought about what I would do if I won the lottery, and what my life would be like. I thought about where I would want to buy my tickets. Sometimes, I would think about being anonymous. Sometimes, I would think about whether to hold a news conference if I couldn't be anonymous i
