$1.35 billion Mega Millions lottery winner suing mother of his child for revealing win to family
Anonymity might not last for billion-dollar jackpot winner By Kate Northrop The winner of the $1.35 billion Mega Millions jackpot is suing the mother of his child for allegedly telling his family about the lottery win. An anonymous Maine man who won the $1.35 billion Mega Millions jackpot is accusing the mother of his child of blabbing about his win and is taking legal action in retaliation. In February, one lucky winner stepped forward to claim the then-fourth-largest lottery ja

A verbal Lottery joke agreement wouldn't hold up in Court, would it?
If it gets to court its not a joke. Think about that. Nobody is going to file a lawsuit and go to court claiming it was all a joke. You can claim it was a joke all you want, but what did the other party think? If you find yourself in court he/she is not going to tell the judge, yeah, we were just joking. G

Pick 3 number
I'm glad i'm not the only one it happens to. I've reached the point after a couple of days where I can now laugh at it, but when I watched that number come up that night I was so upset because earlier that day something was nagging me to play that number again and I just didn't listen. Always follow those hunches! I consoled myself by remembering that it's just the way the wind blows and i'll win again eventually. Last year out of the blue a check appeared in my mailbox for $1,500 from some

California man claims winning $2.04 billion Powerball lottery ticket was stolen from him
It's plausible, but improbable unless Castro is Rivera's doppelg nger and was able to fool the CA Lottery throughout a weeks long vetting process. There's also the question of why Reggie stole a ticket before the drawing. This claim is in the complaint, which I managed to find on document cloud. https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/23689405-powerball-lottery-lawsuit The vast majority of tickets end up worth $0, so why steal one before the drawing? This describes some of the vetti

Casino Dealer Kept Working As Player Died :-(
It's one of those stories that makes no sense. For instance, While playing blackjack with friends and business associates, Jagolinzer s hand began convulsing at which point, he collapsed and became slumped over on the blackjack table with his head down, the lawsuit filed in Nevada civil court alleges . Bet his buddies thought he was taking a nap and told the dealer to keep on dealing. The Casino disputes the allegations, Wynn Resorts, which owns and operates the Wynn Las Vegas luxu

California man claims winning $2.04 billion Powerball lottery ticket was stolen from him
I'd agree with you that the timing is suspicious if the article had said when the police report was filed. But it doesn't say whether Rivera only recently went to the police or if he made the complaint months ago. Only the lawsuit was filed recently. I'm with CEJ that when it comes to the big prizes, a lotto ticket ain't gonna be treated as a bearer instrument, no way no how. It's bad publicity for the lottery to be paying out millions to someone invoking finders keepers. Leaves a bad taste

UK woman who won £1 million EuroMillions prize calls aftermath a "twisted fairytale"
I suggest that you read the article. She invested the money and is doing quite well thank you very much. The lawsuit would probably have been aimed at getting the rules changed so that people under 18 (a 16 YO could have played at the time) can't buy tickets. suing someone in UK is not the same as doing it in USA...

California man claims winning $2.04 billion Powerball lottery ticket was stolen from him
Nothing suspicious about saying Rivera was crazy, , An anonymous employee at Joe's Service Center said that Rivera was crazy for making such an accusation and explained that the Lottery goes through security video footage frame by frame and to the second to verify the winner's identity. And not the first time someone made a claim like Rivera's. A few years ago a woman in Ohio claimed she lost the winning ticket in convenience store parking lot, filled a police report and a lawsuit to block
