if you could play any state lottery......
I live in California. I usually play MM when it reaches $300 million unless lawsuit shuts down the game in CA. I also play CA SLP when it reaches at $48 million because the highest WB in CA SLP is 47 because sales are falling in CA SLP because they also have MM in their game industry. I also like CA especially because of their weather in the Bay Area being not too hot and not too cold.

mega millions and powerball jackpot poll
Coin Toss, are you sure that MM and/or PB stayed at $55 million between the two draws? If so, how?My family wished that MM will leave CA if they win the lawsuit to shut it down. If that's the case, then MM sales will suffer and have no records thanks to CA. I don't play MM unless it reaches $300 million or more. I don't play CA SLP unless it reaches $48 million or more since highest WB is 47.

Lottery tickets are a "bearer intrument"
I believe it is the lottery that claims the ticket is a bearer bond; not the courts. Otherwise, lawyers would not be in the lawsuit business.

Lottery winner cries foul
This reminds me of the Extreme Home Makeover lawsuit. I'm too lazy to look up a link, but the upshot was that this family took in 4 kids from another family and the show built them a million dollar new home. State of the art everything with something like 6 bedrooms. Then they threw out the kids from the poor family and kept the nice new mansion. Not very nice.

California & Mega Millions
The reason I thought it was unconstitional because Proposition 37 states in 1984, CA can only play in their own state lotto. However, the lawsuit hasn't come yet, so CA plays MM. I hope the CA Governor gets a full time lotto commissioner to help CA with money situations.

California & Mega Millions
There won't even be a stoppage of ticket sales. Either the injunction will be denied or new legislation will be passed to allow the game to continue before it even reaches the courtroom. If either of the polictical parties were really against MM, they would have filed a lawsuit to stop the game long before it ever started.

working after a major jackpot win
Depends on the job and whether they would allow you to stay. Public school teachers, for instance, are encouraged to quit immediately by the school system for liability reasons. If you offend one of the kids, the parents could sue you and the school system. A lot of jobs are like that. Your exposure to a lawsuit would make a normal workday impossible, even if you like your job. Kind of sad . . .Orangeman
