Nearly 68 million American adults about 1 in 4 plan to bet on this year s Super Bowl, setting a record by a wide margin, according to the gambling industry s national trade association. Figures released Tuesday by the American Gaming Association include bets placed with legal outlets, as well as with illegal bookies and online operations in other countries. The volume of betting participation is projected to be 35% higher than last year, which was the previous record. Bettors plan to

New Michigan lottery player wins $500,000 on his first-ever ticket
June coddled the Beaver but he never really seemed to warm up to her all that much. I always felt he had a mild form of autism the way he acted. Locking himself in the bathroom was a telltale sign of being disturbed for one. Beaver won a sports car and Ward sold it to pay for his college education and Beaver was not pleased about it. He let some kid steal his new bicycle which also indicated psychological issues with that kid.

Nearly 68 million US adults plan to wager on Super Bowl
I don't know if I would ever wager on a sports game. Although I sometimes detect patterns in the outcomes of games (for example, UCLA has never lost to USC in football in the Year of the Dog, and unranked Georgia has beaten ranked Auburn in football in the last four years ending in 6), I believe my bet would take away from my ability to enjoy the game.

Nearly 68 million US adults plan to wager on Super Bowl
I would like to place a bet but I found out that sports betting is illegal in my state. Bummer. I've never done it before and would like to give it a try. Ah well.

OTOH if California had legalized sports betting, Oshani's interpreter would not in hot water right now. Their coffers would really be bursting if it ever was addressed there---don't know about that!

New Jersey Lottery will begin selling tickets online
1961 Federal law which IMHO is long outdated prohibits this. That being said Sports Betting seems to be opening up a bit, so maybe the lotteries will be next. Have yet to find a lobbyist organization for lotteries though.

Nearly 68 million US adults plan to wager on Super Bowl
I don't do sports wagering. Glad that somehow this passed last May in Kentucky. Remember a year ago November the TV news interviewed me on my thoughts of the subject. Said it is stupid folks traveling to other states to wager; they're going to do that. Somehow resonates with Alabama not getting a lottery! Looked @ the machine Saturday and months earlier some guy was trying to explain it to me. Guess I'm just dense, it looks like a foreign language to me. Watched a superbowl show from the

Mississippi Lottery passes $2 billion in gross sales
Played their lottery in Biloxi finally. Noticed they just added Double play to Powerball. A letter was mailed to them to compliment on them getting a lottery because they did not rush into it and memory says they thoroughly researched other lotteries before starting. Mentioned before, I think about WDRB interviewing me a year ago November regarding sports betting in Kentucky. I don't do that but mentioned folks will just go to neighboring states to bet. It did not pass, then suddenly it went

Court finds that skill games are legal in Pennsylvania
The last paragraph about SUMS it...more money for the state coffers if that goes through. Not sure if this is the same thing, we had 'grey' slot machines in some small businesses and just recently outlawed for good, however there are still ads for some kind of slot machines in Louisville but very limited hours. The voters got their wish for sports betting here. I'm too dumb to understand it and don't want to bother folks playing on the machines. The state adds 9% for the machines and wh
