Update: Players sue Delaware Lottery for $2M over disputed Keno tickets
Two Delaware men are claiming they haven't seen a penny of the $2 million they say the state lottery owes them after a computer glitch spewed out multiple matching numbers.
John Brookings Jr. and Richard Spence played Keno a bingo-style lottery game in which players can win based on how many numbers they match and how much they wager at a retailer in New Castle County last December, according to the lawsuit.

Appeals court hands loss to New Jersey sports betting effort
A federal appeals court on Tuesday dealt another defeat to New Jersey's years long attempt to legalize sports betting, setting aside the state's legal challenge to a federal betting ban.
The 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals' ruling invalidated a law passed by New Jersey in 2014 that would have allowed sports betting at casinos and racetracks. The court found New Jersey's law violated the 1992 Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act, which limits sports betting to the handful of states

WV Lottery officials oppose jackpot anonymity bill
The times of the big lottery check presentations may soon come to an end in West Virginia.
Winners of big jackpots would no longer have to make required public appearances to claim those prizes if a bill that's moving at the State Capitol becomes law.
The West Virginia Lottery is opposing the bill because of what John Myers, acting director of the Lottery, called an expectation of transparency among players.
They want to know that, when we tell them that there's a grand prize winner, t

Lottery officials say identifying winners a must
States wrestle with winners' privacy vs. integrity of games
In the California lottery handbook for winners, officials offer a few suggestions to newly minted millionaires. Change your number. Stop answering your phone. And find a reputable financial adviser.
That's because along with the money comes 15 minutes of fame as the names of winners are required to be made public in California and many other states.
