Store owner killed for $3 of lottery tickets
Felony murder charges have been filed against a man accused in the dragging death of a northern New Jersey gas station owner, who authorities say was killed over the alleged theft of a few dollars worth of lottery tickets.

A past $100,000 winner of Arkansas' lottery was indicted today for allegedly being the kingpin of a major crystal methamphetamine operation.
A federal grand jury returned an 18-count indictment against Daniel Dano Henry Jr. of Austin and 19 others, capping a five-year investigation that was dubbed Operation Big Winner last fall after Henry claimed a $100,000 lottery prize on Sept. 24.

Cheated lottery winner files lawsuit
A Dallas-area man who Travis County prosecutors say had his $1 million lottery ticket stolen by a convenience store clerk in 2009 has sued the Texas Lottery Commission and others in hopes of recovering all of his winnings.
Lawyers for Willis Willis, a retired Grand Prairie maintenance man, filed the suit in state District Court in Travis County last week against the lottery commission, GTECH Corp, which runs the lottery, and the owner of a convenience store where Willis bought his ticket.

Operated out of strip malls; 14 classic cars worth $100K each seized in raids
Authorities busted a multi-million dollar sports gambling ring Tuesday that started out in a Staten Island video store and grew into an online operation run out of Costa Rica, officials said.
More than a dozen raids were executed in three states Tuesday, leading to 28 arrests and the seizure of $5.7 million in assets including a Staten Island strip mall, real estate and 14 classic cars worth $100,000 a pop.

Federal investigators in Baltimore set up a phony business and handled $33 million in transactions from Internet gamblers in a lengthy sting operation that led to the indictment of two online betting companies and their international owners.

Cops are looking for a man who has been caught on tape redeeming stolen California lottery tickets.
Stockton investigators say the man robbed Sally s Beauty Supply on Pacific Avenue in January, the Quick Stop on Fremont Street in January and again in March, the 7-11 on Da Vinci Drive and the AM/PM in Manteca, both in March.

Executives indicted, arrested
The founders of the three largest online poker sites were indicted by the FBI on Friday in what could serve as a death blow to the thriving industry.
Eleven executives at PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker and Absolute Poker were charged with bank fraud and money laundering in an indictment unsealed in a Manhattan court. Two of the executives were arrested on Friday morning in Utah and Nevada. Federal agents are searching for the others.
