Rhode Island Lottery starts midday drawings
Lottery fans now have another opportunity to win big. The Rhode Island Lottery is adding a midday drawing to the Numbers Game.
Up until now, the Numbers Game only had an evening drawing. This new midday drawing begins Sunday, May 11.
Drawings will take place at 1:30 p.m. Videos of the midday drawings will be posted to the Rhode Island Lottery Web site and the Rhode Island Lottery's YouTube channel.

Iowa Lottery no longer sharing Illinois Lottery drawings
State started conducting its own Pick 3 and Pick 4 drawings Wednesday
Starting this week, it won't be share and share alike for Iowa Lottery players anymore.
Beginning Wednesday, April 16, Iowa Lottery players finally got their own Pick 3 and Pick 4 lottery numbers. Iowa has been sharing Pick 3 and Pick 4 numbers with Illinois since the games were introduced, in 1998 and 2003, respectively.

Georgia Lottery schedules Cash 4 bonus drawing
Makes up for mechnical error Wednesday
During a review of the Wednesday, Oct. 16 Cash 4 midday drawing, Georgia Lottery officials determined that a technical malfunction occurred with a ball machine. During the routine post-drawing process, a mechanical issue was identified in one of the draw machines, which negated the proper mixing of a ball set.

Texas Lottery to double number of Pick 3 and Pick 4 draws
Four drawings per day starting Sept. 9

In a few weeks, Texas Lottery players will have twice as many opportunities per day to play the Pick 3 and Pick 4 games.
Currently, both of the popular daily numbers games are drawn twice per day, at 12:27 pm and 10:12 pm. Starting September 9, four drawings per day will occur at 10:00 am, 12:27 pm, 6:00 pm, and 10:12 pm.

Error prompts second Kentucky Pick 4 midday drawing
Kentucky Lottery players who bought Pick 4 tickets for Monday's midday drawing have an extra chance to win, thanks to an error that occurred during the drawing.
Lottery officials say a ball that was supposed to go into the draw machine's first chamber inadvertently bounced over to the second chamber when loaded. The result was nine balls in the first chamber and 11 in the second.

Texas Lottery delayed Monday night because of suspicious package
A suspicious package near a Texas Lottery facility on Monday night forced a delay of the nightly drawing and the reporting of the results, officials said Tuesday.
Austin police instructed Texas Lottery personnel to evacuate the drawing studio on Sixth Street as a precaution, and the drawing was moved to a backup location, in accordance with official rules, Texas Lottery Commission spokeswoman Kelly Cripe said Tuesday.
The suspicious package did not end up presenting a threat.

Germany Lottery draw glitch caused announcement of wrong numbers
German broadcaster ZDF gave Lotto ticket holders a moment of false hope on Wednesday evening, after a glitch with the ball machine meant presenters read out the wrong numbers.

Kentucky Lottery moving drawing show to the Internet
