N.J. lottery drawing games offline across the state over the weekend
Half of all lottery retailers across New Jersey were not been able to issue any tickets from Friday night through Monday as a result of a technical issue, a state Treasury spokesman confirmed Monday.
The problem was touched off by a scheduled system upgrade Friday, according to an email from Treasury spokesman Chris Santarelli.
The glitch interfered with retailer shops' ability to print out ticket for draw games, such as the Pick 3, Pick 4 and the Jersey Cash 5, and Cash4Life. Instant game

Players seek $250 million from Texas Lottery contractor
More than 500 players of a lottery scratch-off card filed suit against the game's developer seeking about $250 million in contested prize money.
Confusion over the rules led many to believe they had winning tickets, but those tickets were not honored by the state. The suit contends that the lottery's contractor, GTECH Corporation, owes prize money to the players because they wrote the rules and programmed the scanners to identify the winners.

Kentucky Lottery plans online ticket sales by fall
By early next fall the Kentucky Lottery expects to make the sale of tickets for at least some games available through the use of computers, smart phones and other mobile devices.
The Kentucky Lottery Corp. directors took a major step toward online ticket sales at a meeting Friday by choosing to negotiate with GTECH to develop the computer-based system for what is being called iLottery services and games.

New Jersey Lottery signs 15-year deal with Northstar NJ
Private company to take over marketing, sales, other functions
Scientific Games Corporation today announced that Northstar New Jersey Lottery Group, LLC ( Northstar NJ ) has signed a long-term agreement to provide marketing, sales and other services to the New Jersey Lottery.
Services under the agreement are expected to begin on October 1, 2013 following a transition period and end on June 30, 2029.

Texas Lottery suspends sales for 'All or Nothing' game

The Texas Lottery has temporarily suspended sales for its All or Nothing draw game.

N.J. Assembly approves measures to slow Gov.'s plan to privatize lottery
The New Jersey Assembly Monday passed a measure that would force Gov. Chris Christie to seek the Legislature's approval for his plan to privatize parts of the state lottery, which Democratic lawmakers said is being pushed through under the radar without oversight.
