When Louisville resident Steven McIntyre received a coupon in the mail last week from the Kentucky Lottery, he admits he never could have anticipated being at lottery headquarters days later holding a four-foot-long check for $100,000.

NH Lottery to debut new scratch game
Players can win $100,000 a year for life
Gamblers are getting a sneak peak at a new game from the New Hampshire Lottery that could net them $100,000 a year for life.
Lottery Commission Executive Director Charlie McIntyre will unveil the commission's $20 instant ticket Set for Life game on Wednesday in Center Conway.

New Hampshire repeals taxes on lottery prizes
Lottery commission celebrates with Tax Repeal Tea Party
Starting Monday, New Hampshire residents no longer have to pay taxes on their lottery winnings.
The state imposed a 10 percent tax on gambling winnings over $600 in 2009, but the tax was repealed by the current Legislature under a bill going effect Monday.

On Friday, the Kentucky Lottery kicks off sales for its newest game, 50/50 Split the Pot Raffle.

Multi-state lottery game comes to Arkansas
After a false start, Decades of Dollars finally lands in fourth state

In January, a new multi-state lottery game called Decades for Dollars was introduced, and was intended to be offered in the state of Arkansas, but legislative obstacles stopped the plan dead in its tracks at the time.
Now those issues have been cleared, and Decades of Dollars has landed in the state three months after the game's first drawing.

Puerto Rico turns store receipts into lottery tickets
Don't throw out that lunch receipt: It could be worth $1,000.
That's the idea behind a campaign to force Puerto Rico's many tiny markets, food stalls and other mom-and-pop businesses to collect sales tax.

A new Florida Lottery game offers payouts of up to $3 million and instant rewards a combination that has gambling opponents worried.

New Tennessee lottery game debuts tonight
The latest game from the Tennessee Lottery begins tonight, with the first drawing of Tennessee Cash.
In the game, players select any five numbers from a field of 1 to 35, and one Cash Ball number from a field of 1 to 5. Players can also choose a Quick Pick, which has the computer assign random numbers to the ticket.
Players win if they match any of 8 winning combinations.
Tennessee Cash replaces the retired Pick 5 game, which saw its last drawing on Oct. 1.
Tickets cost $1 per play.
