2020 just doesn't seem to let up, with wildfires in Oregon causing 115 of the state's lottery retailers to lose connection to the fiber-optic cables that support the selling of most lottery games.

Hundreds of bars and restaurants already struggling to survive are now facing another financial setback. The Oregon Lottery is collecting taxes on each video lottery machine, even though the machines are shut down.

Oregon man wins $6.3 million from free lottery ticket
An Oregon man's $6.3 million lottery jackpot was made all the more lucky by the fact that his ticket was free and he almost left it at the store.

Oregon Lottery draws winning 2020 St. Patrick's Day Raffle numbers
The Oregon Lottery has announced the winning numbers for the St. Patrick's Day Raffle.
The winning number for the top prize of $1 million is 080948.
A total of 1,801 winning numbers were drawn for the raffle, including 300 prizes of $500 and 1,500 prizes of $100.

Oregon Lottery will lose money on sports betting this year
Agency cites higher start-up costs, lower margins and less betting activity than it expected
Oregon Lottery Director Barry Pack will present some unwelcome news at the Lottery Commission's monthly meeting on Feb. 28. Scoreboard, the agency's new mobile sports betting app, will lose money for the fiscal year that ends June 30.
