Lottery pool can't be a business in Tennessee
In a formal opinion, the state attorney general has declared that Tennessee law prohibits participation in a lottery pool managed by a third party throwing cold water on a Blount County man's idea for a part-time business, though apparently not on informal pools among friends.
State Rep. Bob Ramsey, R-Maryville, said he requested the opinion from Attorney General Bob Cooper after a senior citizen constituent asked if his idea of a part-time retirement business would be legal.

Georgia's new $30 lottery tickets selling 'like crazy'
Lottery players are lining up to lay down some serious scratch in Georgia and Tennessee, which recently joined a number of states offering instant tickets that cost more than $25 apiece.

The Tennessee Lottery celebrated 10 years in business in the Volunteer State by unveiling a new logo and announcing another record quarter.
The Lottery to-date has raised a total of more than $2.91 billion for education-related programs.

The president and CEO of the Tennessee Education Lottery Corp. is being recognized by a leading lottery trade organization with an award named after her.

Tennessee to add Hot Lotto multi-state lottery game

Starting Sunday, Tennessee Lottery players will be able to purchase tickets for Hot Lotto, a multi-state game currently played in 14 states and Washington, D.C.

Man has Tennessee Lottery tickets delivered to his doorstep
Mike West gets weekly deliveries to his home in Erin. Wednesday morning when he opened a box he was surprised to find thousands of dollars of Tennessee Lottery scratch off tickets.
