2 mammoth jackpots won this weekend

Two multi-state lottery games gave up millions in their latest drawings as lucky ticketholders snagged the grand prize jackpots.
The first big winner matched all six numbers drawn for the estimated $133 million Mega Millions jackpot Friday night. The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased at a BP gas station located at 1000 East Southline Road in Tuscola.
The winning Mega Millions numbers were: 13, 21, 28, 34, and 40, with Mega Ball number 15. The Megaplier was 3.

RI man nearly throws away $50,000 Powerball ticket

A Johnston, Rhode Island, man nearly threw out a Powerball ticket worth $50,000.
The Rhode Island Lottery Commission said that the man, who asked not to be publicly identified, bought the ticket back in February. He found the ticket in his car and was about to throw it away, but a friend stopped him and told him to check it just to be sure.
The ticket matching four numbers and the Powerball was from the Feb. 3 drawing. Such a ticket is worth $50,000.

The New Hampshire Lottery says the winner of the $487 million Powerball jackpot in July is set to claim the prize.

A New Hampshire grocery store that sold a mammoth winning Powerball ticket announced Tuesday that it is donating its commission to local charities that work with children or hunger.

July's half-billion dollar Powerball jackpot winner in New Hampshire has yet to come forward, but the New Hampshire Lottery said it has heard several times from lawyers who may represent the lucky ticket-holder.
The $487 million prize was the eighth-largest jackpot in U.S. history and the fifth-largest Powerball jackpot.
