Pennsylvania's lottery sales stumbled in the just-ended fiscal year as slot machines came on line finishing flat after a half-decade of huge gains spurred by bigger games, more retailers and glitzier advertising.

Treasure Hunt, Pennsylvania Lottery's terminal-based Pick 5 game, has exceeded sales expectations. The game, which went on sale May 8, was projected to bring in between $2.5 million and $3 million in its first quarter. Sales have surpassed $3 million.

After 76 suspenseful days, a winner has stepped forward to claim the record-breaking $6.9 million lottery prize for the Match 6 ticket sold at Giant Eagle supermarket in Ebensburg.

Broken ball prompts 2nd Penn. Lottery drawing, 2 sets of winners
Lottery players in Pennsylvania got a second chance to win after officials discovered a ball used in the MATCH 6 lotto drawing had broken into pieces.
A second off-air drawing was held Tuesday night and the state said it would pay off winning tickets for both sets of numbers.
