  The NY Lotto game was changed from 6/51, one play per dollar, the week of 9/11, to the current 6/59, two games for a buck. If you know me, the real problem with NY Lotto is the terrible payback. What kind of game is it if you win your lousy dollar back for matching three numbers in a 59-number game?

  You've got to put it all in perspective.  I think the 6/59 will stay around for a while, at least 2008...that's only three years.  I like to consider the 6/59 a challenge, not an impossible obstacle. 

  Right now it's a much better jackpot deal than Mega Millions.  I play for the jackpot, not the smaller prizes, so I couldn't care less the payout percentages on match 3/4/5.  On NY Lotto tonight, for $1 I've got a 1 in 22 million chance of hitting $28 million.  On Mega Millions Tuesday night, for that same dollar I would have a 1 in 135 million chance of hitting $10 million!

  NY Lotto: Three times the payout with only 1/6th as many combinations in play as MM.  I know what game my money is on.

  when they change the matrix, it starts out as an experiment. dventually, they will decide to keep or change the matrix, so it could be a while before they change the matrix again.

  I've redone my website.  Go to www.dr-ew.com.  I kept a lot of the old stuff, and I've added some new stuff.  Look for more new stuff in the coming weeks.

  Somebody (ie PA, NJ) needs to create a game with the same odds as NY Lotto.

  FL Lotto has about the same jackpot odds as NY Lotto...but a jackpot of X million in FL is a much better bet than the same jackpot in NY Lotto.
