I'm just curious how much time we all spend, separately, but also collectively, trying to win the games we play.

I start crunching my midday plays about an hour and a half before the draw, while I'm supposed to be working. LOL. An in the evening I come home log in to L.P. and let it ride till about nine p.m. and rush to buy my tickets. I never rule anyting out beacuse when look at the predication page results it seems someone usually has predicted the winner for IL. and it's just the matter of me recongizing it. So keep those posts and picks coming. Thanks everybody for your input.

I usually just create a set for a jackpot run then stick with them.

i generally spend between 30-60 minutes with mine, but have been known to spend a lot more...!

Great thread. I was thinking of asking it myself a few weeks ago. The first time I charted #'s, I spent about 6 hours lol. But of course since I now have it organized I would say total time (not including me breaks to eat me big azz burgers) of about 1-2 hours.

45 minutes doing workouts, using databases and using past history results.
5 minutes prior to the draw----- praying.
20 minutes after the draw cussing.
17 hours trying to figure out why I always get two out of three.

I generally take about 10 to 15 minutes per state that I do. It all depends on how well they line up.

I spend a tremendous amount of time creating, adjusting and modifying my spreadsheet, but when it comes down to picking the numbers, am in and out in less then 30 minutes (humm...interesting...like my sex life...not winning at lottery or getting any...reckon a few extra minutes would help any?).

Of course I know what I am doing...now if I can just persuade those little ping pong balls to fall exactly as I predict, everyone else would know just how smart I am.

GoArmy: That's my life, except my wife & I spend the 17 hours cursing.
When I started studying lotteries, I would spend 2+ hours pouring over everything before picking numbers. Much of that time was figuring out a routine, and it gradually got faster as the system developed. Since that time, I've realized that even with a strategy or system, luck is still the major factor in a big money win. Strategies just leave you better prepared for when luck descends. Rather than lose both my time AND my money to lottery games, I set a goal to automate what I was doing, as much as possible, with custom software. Now I get my picks from LuckSmith, study them a bit to weed out or adjust the ones that "don't look right" and then fill out the slips. Usually takes less than 15 minutes, and I'm winning as often or more than I was when grinding over the numbers.
Do those of you who spend more time get better results? Is there an "a-ha" moment that happens and you know when to stop studying? Or do you have a routine that doesn't change much and you just run the routine and then, as GoArmy says, start praying?

Usually I spent something like two hours analyzing.

I must confess Lotto Sorcerer do the job just as well using just 5 seconds.

As you've seen from my blog I've tested it for 6 weeks and I think it looks promising.

If the program continues to do well, I might buy it. I don't want to wait for Lottosync 1.8 which probably is still several months away from being finished.

As a hobby I am always working on a strategy to win a game even if I'm not playing it at the time, so when I decide to play it just a matter of keying in the appropriate numbers, making out my cards and playing which takes about 40 minutes.

Exactly to the first paragraph above.
... more time/better results? I would say no. That can go both ways. More time can bring worse results. Maybe time is not a big factor cos people are faster than others with computing all the info/numbers/charts. Rather I feel good results come from using the best common sense charts/strategies.
Oh I've had a few "ha-ha" moments, and had to tell myself, "Whoaaa enough charting, I think you've worked hard/smart enough already!".
I pretty much have a routine that doesn't change much, except when I learn a new technique. Then I play an extra buck to further test it.
