    Please explain why the generator is limited to 5/30 and does not include

    the 5/35 cash 5 in CT. It would be interesting to be able to compare a

    truly random generator for a 5/25 (or is it 5/26) with the FL Fantasy 5.

    One could then perform an ANOVA test to determine how random the

    Fantasy drawings are.

    Also, it would be instructive to be able to generate smaller lotto

    games, such as 5/20, 5/15 and 5/10. The last one has only 252

    combinations and its statistics are easy to establish and one could

    then compare the results from small draws with the generator.

    Might it be possible to inspire LP to upgrade the generator?

  If you don't like the one provided why not write your own and put the limits in it that you want?  I wrote the following one in GWBasic in a couple of minutes.

  random.org

  You can set your parameters any way you want.  The RNG is based on atmospheric "noise".

  SirMetro, If you take an AM radio and tune it between channels, the static you hear is "atmospheric noise"....background radio waves.

  Good luck on finding what you are looking for, but it has been my experience that people don't spend time writing custom programs and giving them away and those who are looking for free programs have to take them as is.

  Just a follow-up to this thread.  Random.org is not a commercial site.  It's free (there is no ad on the site)and atmospheric noise as a seed and algorithm for randomness is considered by many as better than a computer-generated seed and algorithm for "truer" randomness.

  The only better thing I've heard in RNG's is the rate of radioactive decay of Cesium(25?) because its decay happens at an erratic rate..  When you find a free site using that approach, let me know.

  The reason I mentioned it to Bertil was that you can set your own parameters for any x out of x game and get up to 10,000 results if you want.

          Rick G, Please tell me how I might log onto to get any x out of x games if it will help me to get

          1000 samples for any n/N lotto, such as 5/10. I've tried very hard to search the site for any

          specific reference to lotto games.

            Thank you RickG. I tried it but it generated sets of five with

            duplications on most lines. That is not a lotto 5/10 game.

            Is there a way of getting only duplicate free sets?

  Bertil, scroll down the page and there is a sequence generator for Lotto (no repeats).  However it only generates one entire sequence at a time using all the digits from the number range.

  It would be nice if it was done the same way as the main page but without repeats.

  A long time ago I knew how to do simple programming in Basic.  I had my own RNG that was similar to RJOh's, but not GWBasic .  It was actually a very good program and I won a few 4 of 6 using it the same way as you want to with a smaller array of numbers pool.

   My suggestion is to see if you have a friend or relative who could do RJOh's program for you on your computer.  Good luck with it.

  If Bertil is really interested in my RNG and understand how to use the Command Prompt in Windows, he can make a directory (MD), download a copy of MS GWBasic which is freeware, copy my post and run it. If he needs help, he can go to programmersheaven.com which has all kinds of useful information for the beginner.
