About three years ago, I had a very vivid dream where I won the Georgia Fantasy 5. Everything seemed so real. Even Glenn Burns, the local news celebrity that draws the Fantasy 5 numbers was in my dream. I remembered the numbers when I awoke and wrote them down. They were 3 – 11 – 19 – 24 – 32. I told no one these numbers but my wife, and played them every day for 3 years. Ironically, the only time in three years that 4 of these numbers came up was on 04/10/05, MY BIRTHDAY (04/10/64). In three years that is a one in 1,095 chance or by year, a one in 365 chance that 4 of the 5 would come up on my birthday. I missed $386,000.00 by one number. 1 hit instead of 24. The story of my life.
Some will say that it was just luck that those numbers from my dream hit on my birthday, I say for me there is no such thing as luck.
Think positive and believe. God bless….
John

I personally do not believe in destiny. Every action, every decision u make has consequences. And that consequences is your destiny. If you decide to sit home and do nothing is that your destiny or your decision? And luck is just being at the right place at the right time. Whether its a bad one or good one. We as human beings tend to believe in above normal things, because it gives us a relief and peace. But in reality there are two things that really real. Nature and science. Common sense.

I believe in fate or destiny. I also believe that we have the ability to change, alter or choose our fate or destiny to some extent. It was not luck that I chose 4 of 5 winning numbers on my birthday and made the conscience effort to purchase the winning ticket. It might have been luck if the ticket magically fell from the sky or if a stranger gave the ticket to me.
I love nature and science. Next to math they were my favorite subjects in high school and college. I guess it all comes down to what you do or don't believe. I am a proud Christian, but I can no more prove God's existance than any one can prove he does not exist.
Regardless, thanks for voting and fortunes and blessings to all.

I do not believe in fate in the Greek sense or in luck. If I win, it is God's will. If I do not, it is God's will. I surrender my life to Him in order to be an instrument for His glory. Should He bless me with the money, I also know He will bless me with the wisdom to use it for the purposes He has in mind. I feel the Lord has put certain things on my heart - things that I feel should be done for Him. I have set these goals for my life, but a jackpot win will just bring some of them about much faster! On the same note, I do not want to win if the money will pull me away from Him. My eternal salvation and life in Him is more important than silver and gold.
I too am a lover of nature and science. And though I too cannot prove God's existence, He does not ask me to. He has shown His own existence in the incredible design of nature, the amazing laws of science, in little miracles in my own life, and in countless other ways. He reveals Himself to those who seek Him. In Acts 10, Peter is sent by God to Cornelius the Roman Centurion. Cornelius did not know God, but he was seeking Him, and God used Peter to reveal Himself to Cornelius. A similar story is also seen with Philip and the Ethiopian.
People sometimes ask why do I want a God that tells me what to do or sets up a bunch of constrictive rules. I ask why would I not want the Creator of the Universe show me how to live my life to the fullest. Everytime in my life when I try to take the steering wheel back from God, I end up hitting something on the road! My simple mind and sinful heart does not have the capacity to properly steer my life in righteousness. Only through His Spirit can I live a fruitful life.
So, fate no. Luck no. Destiny...in the sense that destiny is God's plan for my life. I buy only one quickpick per drawing no matter the jackpot size, because I know by faith that if it is God's will, He can do it through just $1.
God bless you all.
P.S. If you want to learn more about God and like rock music, check out http://www.harvest.org, especially this weekend, since my church is spearheading a crusade over at Anaheim Stadium in CA. It will be broadcast live over the Internet!

luck and chance play no part in my life. "they" went out the door the minute God walked thru it.
in my life, i am either 'meant to', or i am not. and the things that i know that i am 'meant to', i will always adjust to. that is fate/destiny. the things that i don't know whether i am meant to or not, i don't bother expending effort towards. i know from personal experience that a person can pre-know, and then adjust accordingly .......effectively eliminating "chance".
destiny / fate DEFINE my life (and my daily choices reflect that fact). i am right exactly where i should be in life based on my knowledge of what i am 'meant to', and my willingness to adjust to it.
i do believe that i have personal responsibility, and i would be foolish if i thought that my daily choices didn't play a part in the design behind my life (fate/destiny). which is why i buy a $1 quick pick and prepare for the handling aspect of my destiny. i am no different than anyone else in that i can just as easily (via my choices) pick and choose where i will end up in life. i can subvert known fate/destiny if i choose. my daily choices will add up to whatever they do (personal consequences).
i am not about to guess my way thru life as much as it remains upon me. i will always do what i am responsible for, and then the fate/destiny microscope will someday reveal whether i am a science project, or a pioneer.
i have worked hard in here to eliminate any possibilities of luck/chance connecting itself to my fateful "jack". i will (unfortunately) have to post a virtual laundry list of things that i didn't do after collecting my "jack" to make absolutely sure that everyone knows exactly "where" it came from so that no one will get away with assigning it to something else. but ...some people always will no matter what. which reverts back to my personal responsibilities.

How do you see your GOD? Does he look like a person or something else. And if there is GOD, then where did he come from? Just curios about people's perception of GOD. Do you think being alive is heavens and being dead is hell?

i see god as all of us - and all nature - and how we act towards each other
