  none of the states above have a lottery.which do you think will be the first to get a lottery?

  Strange that Nevada doesn't have one.    I guess you can play Keno instead.

  I would think Nevada would already have one too. I don't think Utah will be near the front of the line. So I say maybe Alaska. Heh.

  I'm surprised Nevada doesn't either. I would say either NV or Mississippi-they have lots of gambling boats so that could be a possibility. I think Utah is probably least likely to have one-if I am correct, a large population of UT are Mormon and gambling is against their beliefs. Maybe that is why they don't have Powerball...

  NV will NEVER have a lottery.  It's written into the state constitution.

  MS is possible due to hurricanes.

  UT is a tough call...I suppose porn is available and they still go for plural marriages.

  Utah - to religious so unlikely

  Nevada - like the Casinos want that to happen.

  Mississippi might but they also have people confusing lotteries with sin.

  Arkansas might. They could offer "win a mobile home" as a popular scratch game.

  Alabama - about the same as arkansas and mississippi. Also unlikely.

  Wyoming - so few people live in the state they could just have a large bingo game.

  Hawaii could but won't due to many problems.

  Alaska - to spread out. Having spent time in the inner tundra area it is far more remote and spread out for most people to grasp. To many logistics  nightmares.

  I'm going with Arkansas.  They are working right now to get one.  I would also AL has a chance in the future but not in the very near future unfortunately.

  How are you going to win if you don't play?

  My vote would be for Arkansas. I think Arkansas is more likely only because they're not in the Gulf Coast, but inland assuming a hurricane at a coast line in Texas would then become a low pressure/tropical depression when it hits Arkansas.

  Just a question..  Why do hurricanes have anything to do with states voting in a lottery?

  How are you going to win if you don't play?

  Utah won't have one due to the Mormon influence. Nevada doesn't need one, as it will only compete against the dollars available for casino gambling. Mississippi, Ak and AL are poor states (in percapita income) and their govts won't want that influence. WY and Alaska don't have enough population to support a lottery. THat leaves Hawaii.

  They may now see a lottery as both quick and sustained assistance for boosting tax revenues crippled by natural disaster.  Object lesson ... the lottery has served Florida well for a number of years so why not follow their example.

  People play the lottery so they can move to Hawaii. Why would Hawaii need  a lottery? If you live in Hawaii, you are already in paradise - atleast that what it says on the travel channel. The lottery has no chance in paradise. If you lived in Hawaii, what would you goal be, to buy a duplex in Trenton?

  buy a duplex in trenton or a trailer in bald knob,arkansas.....yes there is a town called bald knob in arkansas.
