Which state lottery has the best site? I've only listed a few as it would be silly to list over 40, probably no one has seen them all excepy maybe Todd!
I listed Missouri first as I'm most familiar with it (and Illinois' isn't quite as good - I'm in illinois)....
If you poke around the Missouri site there's a QP feature called "The Wizard", gives you QP's for any game they have, and there is a very informative page about what to do if you win a jackpot.

This is a very good question, and yes, I have been to them all.
I have not found that any one site is perfect. I'll provide some examples:
- California has good information about games, winners, and prize amounts, but does not have any good way to contact them, they are a little slow posting new jackpots and prizes, and too few press releases.
- Florida has very good pre-draw info and specified exactly what machines and ballsets were used, and they post the draw info very quickly, but they have a very unreliable web site, is hard to find what you're looking for, and not a very pleasing design.
- New Jersey has very quick drawing results and prize info posted, and great information for finding winners in various parts of the state, but not very good web design, no drawing videos, and no way to search for lottery retailers.
The list could go on and on.
The simple fact is that if one of these states would simply hire me for a couple of days of consulting, I will explain to them exactly what to put on their site and how. If they hire me a little longer, I'll build it for them.

Todd, I didn't know Florida has the ball sets shown in advance. Is that true for the p-3, or only for the jackpot games?.
If it's true for p-3, then I'll win much more often knowing the positions of the tubes, unless of course they do pre-testing prior to the drawing, then I'm back to the drawing board.

I didn't say that Florida said it in advance -- I said that they show which ones "were used".

Todd....not a bad idea, if you contacted the state lotteries and said take a look at Lottery Post ,that's my site, you never know, BUT...what if even being contracted to work for them meant you had to sign an agreement not to play!

I've been to most all of them to i like the ones that allow you to search their data base for numbers by inputting them in their search feature. i also like the ones that give you the totals of amount of winners for pick 3/4/5 games etc and what the payout's were.
as far a web sites go i guess it about the person who designs it, the platform they use and what the boss wants the web site to do. many lottery's might want the economy web site while others might want the whole nine yards. And the more you have going on the more skills are needed by the people operating the site. Some lotteries i suspect use people with minimal skills while others might use a more experienced persons to maintain and upgrade their site. Over all nearly all of them could use some form of changes to better display the information people may be searching for.
An example would be Maryland if you want to search for a number that might have hit. Good luck because they don't have a search feature where you can input the number you are searching for. but if you have time on your hands or excel you can go to their site and look back at all 30 some yrs worth of recorded drawings or download their excel file and use excel's search feature.

I voted other .... Pennsylvania's my favorite by a mile. It's easily to navigate, has scads of information, ... Frankly, I might be biased because I also like the Lotto and Pick 5 there.
But I studied a lot of State websites a while back looking for information most people would consider obscure. PA had it all and it was easy to find.
It was also easy to load on my phone connection, which wasn't true of a lot of the sites.
I'll confess, some you've named were so long loading I'd put them at the bottom of my list of favorites.
My prejudice is a selfish one, but I tend to think a site representing a public sort of function (public defined as owned by government) ought to avail itself to the lowest common denominator among users.... the oldest comps, the slowest connections.

2. Ease of navigation
3. Good use of colors without the Disney-like effect of some states
4. Summary of all current results on Front page...centered to focus the eyes immediately. Some websites like Georgia's you have to9 look up left...in some small Flash-content box...
5. You don't have to go through any rigmarole to download years of results...Ny's is the best!
