Cash 5 is about as close to a "classic" lotto game as PA has or, seemingly, will ever have. And seeing that this is a game that gets won all the time, maybe a change would do it good. So, my question is, do you think Cash 5 should add more numbers the field. Register your choice above.

PA's Cash 5 is a pretty decent game. The jackpots usually don't get to high...the average I believe it gets won every other day. Mostly it goes at $100,000 or $200,000. I believe if it fine the way it is.
Now Florida's Fantasy 5 game I believe needs to change. That state must sell lots of tickets for their pick 5 game. I mean the jackpot gets hit almost everyday and it usually goes for about $200,000. That means they sell more than 600,000 tickets a night for that game with odds of 1 in 575,757. Most drawings it has multiple winners as well. They should increase the odds on that game. Right now if no one wins it, the jackpot rolls down also. They should increase the odds and allow rollovers. Florida has a huge lottery base...they should join a mutli-state game.

No, there is enough games already with bad matrix's. It is won a lot which means there is a better chance you will win too. The only thing I do not like as I said before is that I do not believe anything under a million dollars should be divided up among multiple winners. To beat the such high odds and to have to share it among 3 people or more is crap. The jackpot is almost never that high. Awhile back it got up into the millions, but that is rare.

I think it was designed as a rolling jackpot game that can be easily won. That's the thing. It pays a really nice prize, while being won easily as well.

I've redone my website. Go to www.dr-ew.com. I kept a lot of the old stuff, and I've added some new stuff. Look for more new stuff in the coming weeks.

Aren't lotto games SUPPOSED to be won???
So WHAT if it's won "all the time"? (which by the way it's not!)
WHY change something that's NOT broke?

Smaller number field games are winnable-- hello! Moreover, they encourage people to play, and they give them hope. In addition, they are much more fun (unless a player prefers scratchoffs).
If you want a 5/55 matrix, nobody is stopping you from playing PowerRip.
Do you work for the industry, Jimmy? Who's interests are you really protecting here?
Casino's increase their profit by tightening win percentages.
The equivalent of that for lotteries is to increase the number field, under the deceptive guise or illusion of promising bigger jackpots, which by the laws of probability and borne out of experience, happens MUCH LESS often. Hence the moans and groans of those who play Power/MegaRip.

If you think a prize under 1 million shouldn't be split among multiple winners, what's your plan for dealing with multiple winners? Let them fight to the death, perhaps? Let them think they've won and then enter them in another lottery to elminate all but one winner?
When NY offered King Kong Millions a while back they came up with a plan that guaranteed a single winner. You paid for a ticket and the computer assigned you a unique number, and the drawing selected one of the issued numbers at random. That's a perfectly workable system except for two things. A bunch of you would figure it's rigged because a group of 37 people conspired to rig the computer, and another bunch of you wouldn't play because you couldn't choose your own numbers. That means it will never work as a daily or weekly game with a prize that's modest but still big enough to entice enough people to play.

Well my plan for dealing with it is not to spend my money playing the game. I never play cash 5, or very rarely unless the jackpot is over a million. I have no intentions of my first jackpot win being $100,000 and splitting it 3 ways. Now $100 million is a different story.

It can be argued that Pennsylvania Cash 5 should add a few numbers since Jersey Cash 5 currently has one more number (40) and that New Jersey has a smaller population.
However, Pennsylvania should go back to offering a "classic lotto" (annuity jackpot with cash option) game. I would LOVE to see Pennsylvania join Hot Lotto, with HL changing its double matrix. I seem to think Pennsylvania considers itself "too big" for HL. If that's the case, how about Pennsylvania bringing back Super 7, which was a great game except it was annuity-only. Or a duplicate of NY Lotto 59, with Pennsylvania offering much larger 5/6, 4/6, and 3/6 prizes since NY Lotto's payback continues to be only 38%-40%.

How can we have a website discuss playable strategies for winning a 5/39 game when INCREASING the number field will DEFEAT those very strategies??
