  do you bet on anything besides the lottery?    such as horses,dogs,bingo,poker,sports,etc.

  They won't let me in casinos, can't get to the bingo hall, but I am able to bet on horses at the OTB when I go to NYC.

  i voted yes because i like casinos even though i havent been in almost a year and i also enter many free online contests...

  Lottery is it for me, except for one day a year at the state fair making a couple of bets on the (obviously fixed) trotters.

  Somehow made it 38 years so far and I have never been inside a casino or bingo hall... Been to see horseracing once or twice to see the horse my dad briefly co-owned race but never bet (I was 12 yrs. old... if you think BETTING on horses is expensive...).

  Just the lottery for me.

  I go to my local tribal casino at least once a month.  It is about 30 minutes from were I live.-weshar75

  i bet the NFL...MLB...NCAAFB...NCAABB......but the NHL pays me the most (due to how i lay my bets). I bet daily and i win more than i lose.

  I used to frequent casinos, so I answered "YES" although I haven't been to one in quite a while. 

  I enjoy playing cards for money if I can find a friendly game.  Probably couldn't win in poker now, since it's been so long, I can't remember what beats what any more.  I know I need to be careful with my money, so I'm not talking about a high stakes game, but I think betting with even a few dollars makes it more fun & challenging.  You don't even need to use money  (Hey, everyone.  Get your minds out of the gutter!)   You can gamble for services like mowing a lawn or washing a car too.  When I was married we used to bet on everything from doing the dishes and cleaning the house to shoveling snow!  I have fun betting on trivia games and also board games like Scrabble, but again I'm not talking about a lot of cash.  To me, it's not the size of the jackpot that matters, but the effort and excitement it takes to get to the finish line.  LOL

   

  One problem is that the majority of "regular" people don't pay up and rarely take a bet seriously.  If I say "I'll bet" I won't back down.

  Yes, horses and occasionally video poker at the casino.

  You should write a book on betting pucks then.

  Hockey is considered the bookie's dream because theorhetically they can have every bet middled with the split line.
