I was amongst the first posters ever on this site. I used to go by the screen name "ezmoney". I gambled a lot in my early 20's and was fortunate enough to win a six figure jackpot. I played online poker, online roulette, the PA Lottery, Mega Millions, and Powerball. I came very close to winning Powerball once in 2002 when I matched the first 5 numbers. Back then, the prize was $100,000. When I won, I scanned the ticket and emailed it to Todd.
After my win, I took a break from this site and the lotto in general. I've been playing online poker since and overall Im a winning player. Not by much though but I enjoy it occasionally to relax. However, the $75k I won from Powerball was spent within a year. I did get a nice tax refund the following year of $4,000 (gambling writeoffs). So overall I blew $80k in a year lol. I didnt lose a penny to gambling though.
Youre probably wondering what I did with $80k. Well I traveled a lot. I got to go to Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Niagara Falls, NYC, The Bahamas, London, Cedar Point, and a few Steelers games. I also bought a new car which I still own today. I also helped out a few family members ($10k or so). I must say that my friends never asked for a dime, but I did always buy rounds when we went out to the bar. It made my college experience so much better because I do come from a lower middle-class family and never really had any luxuries.
After I won my brother was really jealous that I was buying new electronics, new clothes, going on trips (except for the AC trip which he came along on), etc. I did hook him up with a new Dell, but I could still sense the jealousness he had. I was still in college at the time and took one summer off to travel and he had to work a low-paying full time job. He thought I used up all the family luck. Well he couldn't have been more wrong. In 2006, he hit the $2 superfecta for the Kentucky Derby and won $30,000+ ($22,000 after taxes). I just emailed him asking for a picture of me holding his $22k in cash. He won it at an Off Track Betting site called Penn National and they actually withheld his federal taxes and paid him in cash that day.
Anways, my break from the lotto was short lived. After a few months or so I started playing $5 for every PBall drawing. I still do today. I never miss a drawing and always buy quick picks. I don't believe that systems mathematically improve your odds and I bet if you look at history it will show that most mega jackpot winners buy quick picks.
I've always been a gambler/risk taker my whole life. I remember the first time I ever played the lotto. I was 13 years old and the game at the time was the PA Super Lotto. Since I wasnt of age, I had my dad buy me a few tickets here and there. Everyone that knows me, says Im the luckiest person theyve ever met.
So that's my story. I obviously forgot my password and the email I used to register in 02, so I created this account. I don't care what the odds are, I AM DESTINED TO WIN IT ALL ONE DAY. Im only 27 years old, but wow I've had a crazy life so far.
*Question for Todd: The email I sent to you in 2002, was it a hotmail account? If so, I can log into there again and verify my identify.
