Today's youth? I have to take a bit of exception to that. Being a jackass isn't a generational or a "today's youth" thing. I'm certain there were and still are plenty of people in your age group that acted that way in their 20s and still act that way. Actually I know there are from having known some of my brother's friends over the years and he's about a year older than you.
Don't forget about what people said about your generation which is a part of Generation X, which I just missed being a part of apparently and EZ is a little older than I am. It's a never ending cycle, the previous generation says the same thing about the generation(s) after it as generations before them said. Though, okay I'll concede, there is a lot more stupidity out there with my age group and younger, but a lot of that is the result of a lack of or flat out bad parenting.
Had EZ actually won the jackpot, this "in your face" was meant more for the members that were critical of him winning again. Since it doesn't look like he won, it reminds me of a football player doing a touchdown dance late in the fourth quarter when his team is down 40 points. His suggestion of creating and being the charter member of an LP hall of fame was meant as an "in your face" and it's not personal to most of LP members. Those having a negative opinion on that suggestion were more opinionated on the latest "in your face".
"Being a jackass isn't a generational or a "today's youth" thing."
I can't remember any of the football, baseball, or basketball greats from a generation ago doing any of the "in your face" things that are common today. Had a one of those passed baseball players showed up the pitcher and the other team after hitting a home run, the first pitch on his next at bat would have been at his ear or hit him square in his back. Kids have always copied their sports heroes and the "in your face" wave has spread out to other parts of society including religion.
If there is a lesson to be learned, it's that some members are still voting to ban or not ban EZ and commenting why after Todd said that voting was useless.
