Just out of Curiosity..what would you do If you could prove that the Lotteries were cheating the Public on Every draw..what would you do?

I doubt if anyone other than an insider could ever prove the lotteries were cheating the public and in that case they would be part of the problem.

* you don't need to buy every combination, just the winning ones *

I would reverse engineer their cheating methods and use it against them. The jackpots would be much easeir to win if you could prove numbers were not generated randomly.

I assume if lotteries were cheating, they would be trying to pick combinations not played, how would you reverse engineer that?

If they were using a program that picked combinations using an algorithm that was predictable, then that would be stupid not cheating and quite a few players might take advantage. Although when Tennessee used a program for their pick3 game that didn't pick doubles or triples, players complained rather take advantage of the 1:720 odds over the 1:1000 odds.

You left a choice out. "They are cheating already".

When you mess around with the rotation of the tubes and do pretest under the guise of making sure it's tamper proof, that's cheating.

I know I'm a lone voice in the wilderness, a lonely sailor out at sea, but i'm sticking to my guns.

I've already mentioned in another thread how they could prevent tampering without ball rotation and pretests. But it fell on deaf ears. The powers that be will always do anything to increase sales and low payouts. So maybe my energy output is futile.

One could argue that all the proof you need is in the payout/odds ratio.

"Cheating" is when they operate differently than the stated rules. Your participation is optional.

The lottery holds test draws supposedly to prevent malfunction and cheating. Assume they keep records of the test draws, they would know the "Hot" and "Cold" numbers from each ballset. They hold one or more ballsets out from the regular rotation until the rollover grows large enough to be worth continuing into big sales several times a year, then they unleash the ballset they know is more likely to draw a less likely to be chosen combination so the rollover continues. When they handicap horses no one considers it cheating, why would it be when they manipulate ballsets? Do they do this? I don't know, but I assume they could do this if they wanted to.

Before every shift casinos "mic" (pronounced mike, use a micromoter) dice to the 10,000 of an inch to make sure they're legit and not loaded. Along with checking for flaws from the manufacturwe, another reason they do this is to prevent any collusion from people within the house.

They check roulette games to make sure the ball is legit and that the wheel itself is level, not biased.

(One time players tried to slip in a ball with an electronic receiver so they could tell it when to drop and hit a panel (group of numbers). They got caught when the ball overheated and exploded.

They check deck after deck of cards to make sure all the cards are there, and no one tried to slip in a "cooler" deck.

I'm sure this is part of the reason why lotteries do what they do, too.

Anyone running a game where the odds against the player are over a hundred million to one does not need to cheat.

Lately it seems like a lot of players won't admit what they're up against and if they spend a buck and don't win a jackpot the game is rigged. Having to have something to blame a loss on is a sign of problem gambling.

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any. So many systems, so many theories, so few jackpot winners.

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

Sure they check the dice before a shift and check the balls of the roulette games, but they only do a check at the beginning of the shift, not before every roll of the dice or every spin of the roulette wheel. They throw dice and spin wheels hundreds of times a day without pretests in between.

Well that's not exactly the case. There were people who knew that the Tennessee lottery was cheating the people. Soon after they started their computerized drawings some people let them know and the problem was supposedly fixed.

Computerized drawings are easy to rig.

Ball drawings are a whole lot harder to rig and i doubt they would have too. The odds they have for the drawings are already in their favor. Why would they risk rigging the games the profit margin is in their pockets.

Two reasons. Surely they make a lot of money whether they needed to or not. That's been the nature of the beast from the getgo. Trust me, just like any other number crunchers, the accountants have think tanks with strategists, trying to figure how much milk they can squeeze out of a cow.

Secondly, they don't have to worry about the risk of getting caught because there ain't enough people with the financial means or enough concern to contend them.

Like I said.....somethings will never change.
