  OK, here's the sutiation in Illinois tonight. 

  Both of these games are drawn on Mondays. (Little Lotto is every day, Lotto is M-W-S)

  The Little Lotto jackpot is $1,025,000.

  It's a 5/39 game with a starting jackpot of $100,000 that progresses until hit.

  The odds against 5 out of 5 are 575, 757 to one.

  the Lotto is a 6/52 game that just got hit for $25,500,000 Saturday night and is back to its $2,000,000 srarting jackpot.

  Little Lotto is a one time cash payout on any jackpot.

  Lotto jackpots are your choice of cash (about 1/2 advertised jackpot) or annuity.

  Let's say, just for discussion, you are only playing $1.

  Which would you play?

  Which would rule, the odds or greed?

  Bear in mind, in a mystical sense, regardless of odds, Saturday someone hit 6 of 6 for $25,500,000 while that same n9ight no one could catch 5 out of 5.

  Pick 5 for me.  I'd go with the odds!  $1,025,000 is nothing to shake a stick at.

  The Little Lotto got hit by four players who will get $256,250 each (2 were QP, 2 were player's picks)

  The Lotto rolled over. Check out the numbers, keeping in mind it is a 6/52 game:

  WINNING NUMBERS: 06 - 10 - 15 - 16 - 17 - 19

  If I only had a buck to spend, I would probably go with the game with the better odds of winning something. So, I would choose the Pick 5 game. Plus, I like Pick 5 games.

  good question...but i'll go with the 1 million pick5...If pick5 paid 1 million i would have play it long time ago...But eventually pick5 will change matrix to accomodate either half a million or 1 million not now but in the future, that's my hunch, unless they change the price of each ticket which i believe will be devastating...

  I'd look at the volume of play in both game because the more people that play, the more likely the jackpot will be hit and with less combinations, and the jackpot be could split. With the 6/52 lotto jackpot being hit on Saturday, the volume will obviously drop but the odds of winning will stay the same.

  I'd take my chances with Little Lotto.
