I never thought about this until yesterday when i was walking on the road...I saw somebody and it hit me...What happens when people are married and one of the partners is way cutter or hotter than the other and the hotter/cutter partner wins 50+ millions of dollars in the lottery....Even if the less cutter or ugly partner wins the lottery, this sort of tempts the hotter/cutter partner to leave or divorce the ugly/less attractive partner because he/she knows that he is getting half of that money and with money can get himself/herself an better exceptionally hotter/cutter partner....

if you didn't understand the above paragraph let me explain it to you in better terms...Suppose you are married to your wife for 6 years and you are not all that you are kind of ugly, and your wife is exceptionally beautiful or hotter and suppose you the ugly partner won 50 million or more dollars in the lottery....She may not tell your right away but she knows that because half of those 50+ millions is hers if she divorces you....Same thing apply to the women if she is less attractive than the guy....The divorce may not happen in 1 year but it will happen in 5 years or more, all planned of course....

so this made me think that lotteries that pay 50 million dollars or more are sort of the divorce reapers...

please let me know what you think and let me know if you think i am right....

Most folks marry for love,not looks.If you are shallow enough to marry someone for their looks you will probably get divorced whether you win a lottery or not.

what pumpi is trying to say might not apply to all people but i get the feeling that it might apply to > 50% of the people in question....hmmm...i mean 50 million ..thats a lot of money....you can basically get everything you want with half of that..so yea

I think Pumpi is one of those people. Yeah. He is about my age and his thinking process is very stunted. Actually I am not that better than him because my inner maturity actually started just four years ago.

The sad truth is that many rich guys marry for looks only and this is very prevalent in older rich people. The personality and the level of intelligence is very important for raising kids. I've seen men with power and wealth siring really crappy kids because they married women with really crappy quality.

OK, something relevant to lottery. Let's say I won 50 million dollars. The cash value after tax will be around 23 millions. Not bad. Since I am the eldest, I have the resposibility to start a family and raise kids. Well, do you guys think it will be really easy for me to find a future spouse? Absolutely not.

It will be much easier to take women to the bed. Sure. But finding a mate for life when you suddenly have 23 million bucks in your pocket? Well, I am not stupid enough to feel invincible. (still, I'd get a lot of boost for self-confidence.) I would be haunted by the fear that I would meet a really stupid bitch who will blow up all my assets for all the stupid crap. Lot of lottery winners develop suspicion to people around them. And I think it would be a natural response.

I am so glad that I don't have to worry about this.Wife and i have been married for 30 yrs.

and still on our honeymoon.

We have talked about if I/we won the big one its not all mine and its not all hers its ours.

All though I joke about it if I did win it and she was home I may not come and pick her up

but its just a joke and she knows it.

If a female leaves her husband for as you say on here for better looks,well you didn't love

them in the first place.

Money can cure some of the "uglies" via getting a gym membership or a face job. It's easy now to "fix it".

But if the marriage is broke and you are both just hanging around because nothing better has come along yet, then the money will definitely excelerate the split.

I'm new here to the site, so instead of calling me anonymous let's just say that I'll have everybody give me a nickname that they find as suitable and I will go with whichever nickname sticks and sounds the best. To give my insight on this post, I am married and have been for almost 2 years (not long I know) but from the first part of the post I noticed that it said something along the lines of the other person getting half after the 2 individuals split from one another. I have to say that this is not necessarily true, it all has to do with when you first get married if you sign what they call a prenuptial agreement where it states that if you divorce from each other that each person gets half of the combined assets. Well, I did not sign a prenuptial agreement because I got married for the love of my wife not for materialistic things. Also, instead of divorcing from your spouse to be with somebody who is hotter/cuter than who you're currently with try this out. Most of the time when you want to be with somebody who's cuter/hotter than your spouse it's not to actually be committed to that person but rather you have sexual thoughts when you see them. I'm a guy and trust me saying this firsthand I wouldn't want to be with somebody just because of their looks, I may feel like having a "relation" with them but not a relationship. What I would suggest to you is this ask your spouse to invite a third person to join you two and have a menage-a-trois or in other words a threesome since that's what the split would be about in the first place. I've already discussed this with my wife and we both said that if either of us wanted another person to join us in the bedroom that we would talk about it and make arrangements that both of us could agree upon. Why divorce somebody just because you have sexual feelings about another person who you see in your eyes as being physically attractive? Sounds pretty naive if you ask me. I'm not very old but I must say in my short time on this planet I have grown to become a lot wiser than other people of my age category. Personally if I won 50 million dollars (approx. 25 after taxes taken out) what I would do then in turn is take the winnings and flip them and play the lottery again with the strategy that I have and win as many jackpots as it takes to make sure that my children and their children and the next 5 to 10 generations after them will never have to worry about a thing financially. You never know, maybe it will last longer than that depending on how many jackpots I feel like winning during my lifetime.

If I came to this website talking about a menage-a-trois hahaha I would be anonymous too. I have noticed most of the younger guys I come in contact with aren't looking for commitment LOL and I know too many married guys who are more than willing to mess around on the side.

As for the original post...... although I'm not married I am involved with someone I care very deeply about and although he's not the best looking guy(yes I could get cuter, younger etc without even winning the lotto) I wouldn't trade him for the world!
