You haven't won yet because you don't deserve it.
And what gives you the right to decide who deserves to win?
Talking about trusts and investments and making your money work
for you, it just means that you'd loaf around and live in idleness
and degeneracy and wanton luxury.
I don't know about others, but after having been in the work force for over 40 years, the thought of winning and living off the $$ that is made from the investments that I would make, sure outweighs the 8-12 hours a day that I have been working for the last 40 years.
The world doesn't need any more of those kinds of riffraff living out their days in anonymous leisure.
A beach bum sipping margaritas and checking their investments online
on their laptops on the front porch overlooking a million dollar view
of the shoreline, yea...we need more people like that.
Sorry to disappoint you, but the thought of being able to sit on the beach, sipping a mararita as you state, would be a pleasure that most if not all would enjoy. Just because a person wins the lottery, it doesn't mean that the person would live every day of their life in that style. For me, that lifestyle would last all of 4-5 months to enjoy time with the family, to be able to go places that have only been dreamt of. After that, who is to say that I or anyone else would end up a beach bum. True, I would have a better home here in the USA and I would have a nice home in the country that my wife is from as well.
There is one thing that you have missed out on tho. A winner, no matter what they do with the winnings or how they live, will still be putting $$ into the enonomy and would therefore be helping others with jobs and income.
