I checked out the ticket. what a complicated ticket! I wouldn't have the energy or concentration to scratch all the boxes and check correctly. See, I play once a month, but buy 20-30 good tickets to scratch on my "Lucky Day".
You see, if I scratched them instantly or weekly and didn't win big, I'd invest in more tickets. Having a day to scratch is a way of controlling spending. Anyway, This month I'll have 50 tickets to scratch. Their rules are simple, they don't have 4-5 different games. I'll go through and scratch off my numbers, and see if I have instant win symbols, moneybags, win all etc. and set those tickets aside for careful scrutiny. Then I'll go back and scratch of the 'winning numbers' and carefully look though the tickets for matches. If I had your complex $30 tickets, I could never do it on my lucky day.
But boy oh boy those prizes look sweet, and so many ways to win.
If you can afford these tickets, go for it. Looks like fun. Be prepared to spend some money though. You might have a string of 5 losers, and that's a big investment. Be statistic smart. Is there a cheaper ticket you could buy more of which has almost as many of the prize you believe you can win?
I mean, I spent lots in July on $20 tickets, then discovered there was a $5 ticket with almost as many unclaimed prizes of the caliber I was trying to win! I could have bought 4x as many tickets and increased my odds. If I were thee I'd spend hours printing out the page on the Illinois lottery site called "Unclaimed Prizes" and study it. Look at the 20, 10 and 5 dollar tickets. See which really has a lot of great good amounts, $500 and up. They can earn your money back. Scatter your ticket buying to different small towns, the lottery loves to show winners in small towns scattered across the state. Just advice from someone who deposited their first $1000 check today. And I got a free coffee mug too!
