I am just wondering do you play? Would you want to win?
I noticed on the VA lottery website that VA has had 2 Win For Life winners this month.
As appealing as winning a Mega Millions Jackpot would be...I would settle for a Win For Life jackpot now...$1000 a week for life(up to 10 years at least) would help me out now...even just getting the $52,000 prize(5 + FB) would be the boost I need now.
I get the feeling from some people it isn't enough to urge them to play...thoughts on this?
I was reading the chance of winning any prize for WfL is 1-21 with prizes ranging from $2-Lifetime($1000 a week)

We don't have a Win For Life jackpot here, but if we did, I would definitely play it. I think it would be great to play a game with the chance to win $1,000 for life.

Those odds aren't bad...but is it enough for you?
Win For Life is a 6/42 lotto type game with a bonus ball drawn from the same 42 number pool and the odds of matching the first six numbers and hitting the jackpot are 5,248,176 to 1. For the bottom tier prizes, matching 3 numbers or matching 2 numbers plus the bonus ball pay the same ($2) as does matching 4 numbers or 3 numbers plus the bonus ball ($30). Matching four numbers with the bonus ball pays $200 while matching 5 numbers pays $600. The overall odds of winning anything are 21 to 1.
The odds of winning $1 million playing Powerball are about the same (5,138,133 to 1), but when you factor in the odds of the lower tier prizes, WFL will get you a much better return. I haven't had a significant win yet, but had enough small wins offset the cost of wheeling.
By the way, the payoff structure of the WFL jackpot is different than most; the winner is paid quarterly pre-tax payments of $13,000.

I've been playing WFL in VA religiously for over a year now (1 or 2 lines a draw) and have never won a nickel so far. That's the only game I've ever played that I haven't won at least something once in a while. I'm thinking about just putting that money into Cash5 instead. I got 4 out of 5 the other day on that. I'm starting to lose faith in WFL. I play the same numbers on both games (minus one on Cash5) but rarely get more than one number if that, on WFL.

My Uncle matched 5 out of 6 on WFL and won the $600 prize. My Fiance won $30 by matching 3+1. I have won $2 a few times but don't play that often. I am thinking about start playing more often but am not sure if this is better or if I should play Cash 5 instead which is a 5/34.... My mom's best friend sister just won $25,000 on the Cash 5 Christmas Eve night. Gives me hope that I will too.

If we have WFL lottery in Cali I would play. IMO life would be much simplier that way. It's nice to be a multimillionaire but managing all that money just creates stress and problems. I would much rather have a stable weekly income from doing nothing than having millions all at once and having to worry about it.
Is $1000 the highest Jackpot possible or does it grow like the other games? How much of it is taxed?
