Could you imagine if Powerball costed: $5 per ticket....Every 4 months Powerball reaches: $300 Million at: $1 dollar the ticket...Could you imagine the Powerball jackpot had each ticket cost: $5...

It will had been: $300 Million x 5 = $1.5 Billion dollars Powerball jackpot EVERY 4 MONTHS...Or there will had been: FIVE $300 Million dollars Powerball Jackpot winners every 4 months...Five for Powerball and $5 for MegaMillions...

But if they decide to create this PB/MM for $10 or $11 the ticket, PLEASE chose something else some other game, chess, monopoly, something, some kind of accessible easy game because Powerball is very, very similar to that bird-devil in the movie: Jeepers Creepers2 with HUGE CLAWS....

I would not want anyone getting cardiac arrest, trying to win Powerball and the bouncing balls oh my gosh...

i think you got better odds winning the supercomputer that beat Kasparov, beating it: 5,000 times than winning Powerball with 1 ticket...And the ghost similarity...God help us....

and make sure it has a code so that whenever VIP´s need to win them for important stuff to help the USA, a particular state or province or the world, it can be done so....and the VIP´s submit the code and win like by magic....

But do you think that is something big??? That is nothing....Remember scratchoffs?? Powerball ran a promotion with the powerplay option and on Saturday it was 10 times. The payoffs indicate about 1 out of 4 tickets used the powerplay option. Powerplay only affects the secondary prizes and gives players a better return, but it looks like 75% of players are still buying $1 tickets.

PB and MM are now based on volume of play with millions of players and the jackpots grow accordingly. It's possible some of the players that spend $5 a drawing might buy one ticket instead of 5, but I'll bet most of them would quit playing. Using the present matrix at $5 a ticket, $487 million would have to be wagered just to get a 50% chance of the jackpot being hit.

Pumpi, you need to take into account that if the cost was $5 per ticket, people wouldn't be buying as many lines. Most people, out of the ones that would actually play, would probably only buy 1 ticket. Your profit and jackpot figures are exaggerated.

I rarely buy the powerplay option on mine, except when they run specials like they just did.

It catches up real quick when paying $2 for each ticket, so I only bought 2 tickets at a total of $4. That was plenty for me -- I prefer to stick with $1 each with the hope of winning a large jackpot.

So if tickets hit $5 each? Forget it.
