Referring here to an article from msnbc Solar cycle sparks doomsday buzz .

Solar storms are not unusual but in 2012-2013 they are expected to peak at an estimated 30~50% stronger rate than normal.

Every computer system in the world will be subject to an impact resulting from much higher X-Rays and UV (Ultra Violet) radiation affecting earth ionosphere with high possibility of severe damaging consequences.

I didn't follow the link because I saw it's from MSNBC and you can't believe anything they say since they gave up news and became a cheerleading team for you-know-who. Don't tell me - the solar flares are Bush's fault, right? I knew it!

But anywho, I've heard that the world is ending on Dec 21st of 2012 anyway according to the Mayan calendar and some other sources, so I'll just be stocking up on Jack Daniels for when the Earth flips upside down on its axis. That'll be a lot more traumatic for me than the solar flares cuz I get motion sickness just riding in the back seat of a car. You can imagine what the world turning upside down and wobbling around will do to me. My lips go numb just thinking about it.

So yeah, I'll be bombed out of my freakin skull that day.

Actually, the Earth shift happens gradually, not overnight...lol

It happens about every 26 thousand years, If I'm not mistaken.

You may want to stock up on some Dramamine...lol....

The next solar Maximum is not predicted to be between 2012-2013. It is predicted to be May 2013, although this may be knocked back further.

And also, it is forecast that this next Solar Max will be much weaker than previous Solar Maximums, of which we have all experienced many times in our lives.

As we can see the previous Solar cycle 23 which peaked in the early 2000's was stronger than whats expected in May 2013, and there was no doomsday, no death, and no destruction.

There seems to be a barrage of scaremongering articles coming out just now without very much research done.

I'm not saying that the next Solar Max could not cause problems, the potential is there, but I feel we should not be creating such a doomsday scenario, when there is probably more chance of Humans Wiping out Earth than a solar Max.
