You have to make that decision. One way is to play front pairs if your state has it. If the number is 3, then play 30-31-32-33-34-35-36-37-38-39.
One way I'll be playing soon in November is online, but the place I will be playing doesn't have front pair options, so I will be betting 00-99 at the end of whatever number I pick. I can play for 25 cents per number, and as my winnings increase, so will my bets, hopefully to a dollar per number and possibly up to 5 dollars per number. The payouts are higher online and provide more losing cushion in between hits.

Once I have my first position number, I will look at the second and third positions on this chart and determine the best numbers to trap for the second and third positions. This method will cost less than playing every number 00-99 in the back, but I believe this way is the best way for me to start playing online.
Example: If my first number pick happens to be 3, then I can choose the second and third positions by analyzing the chart.

Total, 25 combos. But if played online at 25 cents straight per number it would cost $6.25 and yield a $225 win for a net profit of $218.75......not bad...
I will keep doing bets with 25 cents until my account balance grows to lets' say over a thousand, then increase my bets to 50 cents per combo, and then 75 cents and so on, until I reach my goal of a maybe 2 or 3 dollars or more per number.
After years of buying systems , mostly which have been mechanical ones, I came to the realization that the best way for me is to visually see the activity of each number by position. No more mechanical systems for me. Mechanical systems that spit out combos by adding this and minusing that, or putting numbers into a shape of an elephant and looking for winners in the tail and eyes of the elephant may work for a while, but they eventually lose steam for very long periods of time before they start hitting again.
The chart I made for Florida actually needs to be much longer than the one I posted as an example. When I have enough time in the next few weeks, I want to make one for at least 3 months or more.
