NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The latest game from the Tennessee Lottery begins tonight, with the first drawing of Tennessee Cash.
In the game, players select any five numbers from a field of 1 to 35, and one Cash Ball number from a field of 1 to 5. Players can also choose a Quick Pick, which has the computer assign random numbers to the ticket.
Players win if they match any of 8 winning combinations.
Tennessee Cash replaces the retired Pick 5 game, which saw its last drawing on Oct. 1.
Tickets cost $1 per play.
Drawings are every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at approximately 10:30 p.m.
The starting jackpot for the Mon., Oct. 4, 2010 drawing is $200,000.
I looked at Tennessee website and they didn't have a break down of the odds for each level so I calculated my own.

I hope it's right, I couldn't figure what was meant by the 8 winning combinations. I'll recheck their website tonight after the drawing.
looks like you got the odds right on the button

im wondering about the 8 comment, maybe they draw 8 sets of numbers?
from their site
Playing TENNESSEE CASH is easy! Just select any five numbers from 1 to 35 and one CASH BALL number from 1 to 5, or choose Quick Pick (QP) and let the computer randomly pick any or all of your numbers. If you match any of the 8 winning combinations - you win!
I think 8 winning combinations means there are 8 prize levels, including the Free Play for a 2of5 match.
Thanks. I followed your link and found that chart but earlier when I was on their website I couldn't find it.
I picked up a few tickets. Picking one of the five will get me but at least there's 4 fewer wb's.
Will they always start the jackpot at 200k?
It looks like the Jackpot will start at $200,000 and will roll because tonight's drawing is for $225,000.
ridge better get back from his vacation to nowhere before all the tickets are sold out..tiggs hates to hear him cry about the Tnn lottery..Hurry up ridge get back and get in line..
What's this Tennessee Cash game for?
It's for people who like to play the lottery.
Todds getting to sound like us ridge..Maybe he shoud take a break..
I actually bought a couple tickets cuz I heard a rumor that they're actually gonna let somebody win on this new game.
And then they're gonna change the matrix to ensure that that never happens again.
tiggs can hear the violins playing as you speak ridge..Let's all join in now and .......
That jackpot continues to grow.
This game is harder to play -- picking the right number out of the 5 can be tough.
I guess no one has won anything over $1xx bucks yet. I want to see what the 2nd highest amount paid out is. And I hope it's to me! :)
The worst part about this new game is that it's computer generated.
And Tennessee has been caught cheating through their computers before.
You have to wonder with all that money generated with the lottery and with the majority of people preferring real ball drawings, why they insist on staying with computers. The Pick5 faded away and the only thing that may save this game is the higher jackpots even though it's harder to win.
The Tennessee Education Lottery is just like the Federal Government right now - they don't give a dam what we think.
How do you know they've been cheating was it on the news?..Only way to get ping poing balls, wich is the best,is nobody buy any tickets till they do..
Yeah, it was on the news a long time ago.
And as far as me getting people to cooperate to boycott the lottery, well, that's a lot easier said than done, tigger.
If I could influence people in that way, we'd have hot and cold running whiskey piped in by now.
