Do anyone think that if you were to match 5+0 that you would never match 5+1?? I mean matching 5+0 is already very very lucky so what are the chances that you will ever match 5+1?

It's said that lightning doesn't hit the same place twice, but this is very clearly untrue. Lightning rods on tall building get hit thousands of times.

Some people think that a combination such as 1 2 3 5 6 would never be drawn, but this is also not true. The reason people think that is because there are so many possible combinations that any particular pattern is unlikely to be drawn during an observable period of time.

Likewise, the set of numbers from the last draw is just as likely as any other set to be drawn next time.

These relate to your question because the principle is that the odds are absolute. There is no reason that a person who matches 5+0 would never win a jackpot. It's very unlikely, but then it's very unlikely any particular person would win a jackpot. Likewise, whoever won the last jackpot is just as likely to win the next one as anyone else (with the same number of tickets).

The odds of matching all the numbers are always based on the odds of the game and the number of (different) lines you play, regardless of any past results.

People seem to have a need to find a sense of fairness and balance, such that a previous big winner wouldn't win another big prize. Some people may find reason to believe that, but I have not.

I would be thrilled to get 5-0 , or even 4-0. so getting more than 7 dollars is a good thing.

Absolutely I would feel lucky if I hit a 5 + 0. That is a life-changing hit.

However, as life-changing as it would be, I would also be kicking myself if I did not buy the multiplier. Someone here in Colorado did that on Tuesday night. They bought a MM ticket without the megaplier and won $250,000. That extra dollar would have gotten her $750,000 more.

wow, get out ameriken...no multiplier.

I'd feel lucky enough it could happen again with more if I hit 5 + 0. It could happen to anyone, anytime. I don't think people get lucky just once

in their lives..it depends on what level of lucky you're looking for too though.

i have matched 4 numbers and 3numbers +pb about 5 X

i have came so close to hitting 5 numbers but could never do it so far.

i do consider matching 5 numbers a big win and especially if you have powerplay/mulitiplier.

if i matched 5 numbers that would be great enough for me..... i just want to win 1million. i mean im not going to sound greedy. because 1 million is good enough for me, i dont care if i hit the big jackpot or not.

they say lightning never strikes twice, but this is a misconception, because i remember back in 2009 or 2008. a man from kansas hit $70,000 off the kansas lotto 2X in a year.

so lightning did strike twice for this gentleman.

Maybe we can say they are 5/6 lucky!

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any. So many systems, so many theories, so few jackpot winners.

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

how many power balls are there?

if you hit 5+0 you only need 48 more 5+0 's till on avg you should get one 5+1.

ive had 3 5/6 here, so only 42 more to go till i hit the 6/6

There were 67 players matching all 5 numbers without the bonus number and had they all used the Megapilier, there would be 67 millionaires before taxes. I wouldn't exactly call that bad luck.
