I am not sure, but the Pick 3 Sums and Roots chart might have been first made by "AmuzingP3s"
And it is posted here:
http://www.lotto-logix.com/txthouse/pick3sums.html
While looking at this post you might want to have that page open.
As you can see there on the full regular pick 3 there are 28 Sums from 0 up to 27 and most of the boxed combinations there are on the Middle sums the sums that have most boxed combinations are 13 and 14.
Now let us take a look at some Tx past draws:

On the Sums Chart most of the pick 3 numbers are on sums 8 to 19, but it might be better to instead use 9 to 18.
If we take a look at these Tx pick 3 numbers for the Midday and Evening draws we will see that the 9 to 18 Sums cover most of them, 9 to 18 are 10 Sums out of the 28, using them gives some Fixed Static Filtration and that also means that the winning number will be Cut Out- Filtered Out whenever pick 3 numbers with sums from 0 to 8 and from 19 to 27 come out.
But I just checked and I see that on those draws it might have been better to use 9 to 19 Sums and to Filter out 0 to 8 and 20 to 27 Sums.
--------
Instead for fewer filters failures and much better filtration a person might need detailed stats such as the ones that you would get by cutting the past draws into groups like I write about it here:
Some possible pick 3 numbers categories
And here:
Some thoughts about pick 3 "Doubles"
----------
Anyhow even if you play sums 09 to 19 if you did study the history of the numbers for each of those 09 to 19 sums you might see that some of the numbers on each of those sums might have a better chance to come out than others so you might not have to play all the numbers on each of those 09 to 19 sums.
And also of those 09 to 19 Sums some might have a better chance to come out than others for the very next draw or sometime soon in the future.
---------------
So when you keep track of a pattern try to also keep track of the pick 3 numbers that the pattern is made out of, this is for each of the patterns that you might be keeping track of, this is so you won't have to play all the numbers that the pattern is made out of, but only the ones that might have the best chance to come out next or soon.
----------
All of that takes a lot of work so it is best to do for a person who has more time like somebody who might be retired or only working part time, or for somebody who is good and quick at working by hand or who can make ither software and or spreadsheets.
----------
Besides the patterns like High-Low, Even-Odd, Sums, a person might also want to keep track of the Last Digits Of The Sums (LDRs) and let us not forget about the Digits and the Pairs.
-----------
By the way filtering out the 0 to 8 and also the 20 to 27 sums out of the 220 boxed numbers leaves:
148 Boxed Combos:
018, 019, 027, 028, 029, 036, 037, 038, 039, 045, 046, 047, 048, 049, 056, 057, 058, 059, 067, 068, 069, 078, 079, 089, 126, 127, 128, 129, 135, 136, 137, 138, 139, 145, 146, 147, 148, 149, 156, 157, 158, 159, 167, 168, 169, 178, 179, 189, 234, 235, 236, 237, 238, 239, 245, 246, 247, 248, 249, 256, 257, 258, 259, 267, 268, 269, 278, 279, 289, 345, 346, 347, 348, 349, 356, 357, 358, 359, 367, 368, 369, 378, 379, 456, 457, 458, 459, 467, 468, 469, 478, 567, 568
009, 117, 118, 119, 225, 226, 227, 228, 229, 334, 335, 336, 337, 338, 339, 144, 244, 344, 445, 446, 447, 448, 449, 055, 155, 255, 355, 455, 556, 557, 558, 559, 066, 166, 266, 366, 466, 566, 667, 077, 177, 277, 377, 477, 577, 088, 188, 288, 388, 099, 199
333, 444, 555, 666
And if we only want the Singles then:
93 Singles out of 120:
018, 019, 027, 028, 029, 036, 037, 038, 039, 045, 046, 047, 048, 049, 056, 057, 058, 059, 067, 068, 069, 078, 079, 089, 126, 127, 128, 129, 135, 136, 137, 138, 139, 145, 146, 147, 148, 149, 156, 157, 158, 159, 167, 168, 169, 178, 179, 189, 234, 235, 236, 237, 238, 239, 245, 246, 247, 248, 249, 256, 257, 258, 259, 267, 268, 269, 278, 279, 289, 345, 346, 347, 348, 349, 356, 357, 358, 359, 367, 368, 369, 378, 379, 456, 457, 458, 459, 467, 468, 469, 478, 567, 568
It is not a lot of filtration, but it is not meant to be as too much of anyone filtration cuts out the winning number, more detailed study of the history of the pick 3 numbers that makes up each of the 9 to 19 sums would give more filtration for the sums and also more detailed study of the history of each of those sums that might tell which of them might have the better chance to come out soon.
----------
And whatever you get from that should not be used by itself, but together with whatever you learn from the study of other filters patterns such as digits, pairs, Even-Odd, High-Low, Roots, LDRs, Widths, In-Out, Etc.
