  So the Mega Millions jackpot rolled to $476 million.  Given the propensity of large jackpots to keep rising between drawings, do you think it'll hit the big 500 by the end of the week?

  Hello everyone....im new to the forums and pretty jacked that we just set a new record for the jackpot...who else is getting goosebumps??? haha i am for sure....i won $5 tonight on the drawing...had 2 tickets...but now i probably will go nuts for the drawing friday...how can you not??? whose to say it will ever get this high again....ROLL BABY ROLL...good luck to everyone...

  There's going to be an enormous amount of publicity and people are going to get completely irrational. I'd guess that the 476 figure is very conservative, and we'll easily reach 500 before it's all said and done.

  of course people are gonna get irrational...im one of em....watch me smoke this $476 million with ease....if i wasnt playing i would give someone the combination...because i know what it is

  I voted it will come close, but DH thinks it will hit $500 million...

  If your state doesn't carry MM you can buy them from Illinois Lottery.

  I might buy them from them because taxes on the big jackpot would be $6,000,000 lower.

  In Wisconsin I would get  $204,000,000 in Illinois I would get $210,000,000.

  Win then keep on going. On to Wyoming where state taxes would be $0.

  When California joined Mega Millions in 2007 there was a media blitz about "$500,000,000 jackpots possible".

  Guess it took five years to get there.

  Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any. So many systems, so many theories, so few jackpot winners. 

  

  There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

  this is really good , some states wish the other jack-pot games , could get this high . For just five years this is great!!

  they raised it 20 million last draw..it will be no problem to raise it 50 million,

  especially with the norm being that people are now buying 200 plus tickets...

  and MUSL can always borrow some money from powerball...its not like they are gonna need it THIS week!!!
